Snow Wheeling

We just got ~6-7" of powder in SE wisco, took the 4runner out joy riding tonight. JB is right with just locking the diff to kill the VSC. Truck handled like a dream. I was flying down city streets (no traffic) at ~45 mph making first tracks all over the place! doing some sliding around corners the truck handled perfect. Just put it in drive and go!

If it is really deep snow than I would suggest starting in a lower gear to avoid spinning any tires. In 6" I was able to launch off from a stop with virtually no spinning.

Yes, JB was right and the truck did fine today, great way to bring in the new year. I just locked the center dif and let the truck do its thing which it did very well. Very different from my old truck but I'm adjusting. We ran a relatively easy trail that averaged about 12 - 14 inches with temps around 7° and gusty winds. Not a lot of fun standing around but it was fun. I guess my conclusion is to trust Toyota engineers and enjoy!
