ya its one of my favorite mods. FREE too

i had a wiring diagram of how i did it. idk what i did with it tho...
basically all i did was wire a relay to the vacuum solenoids.

I have a lot of respect for you, building a 4 cylinder. Everyone else has a V6 including myself. BUT, I was looking to get a 4 banger Tacoma, I couldn't pass up the 4runner, though. Subscribed, great looking rig!

ya i got a deal i couldn't pass up. i really like the 4banger plenty of power to pull a small boat up hills and the 2 extra mpg helps

got some 285x75r16 for the street. rpm isnt too high going 65mph. up hills and around town they help mpg (with 5.29s)

got some 36x12.5r16 super swamper radial tsl for the snow

Maybe never. I might go with 35/13.5/15 toyo open country mt. The swampers are too thin for the snow. Waiting to sell the swampers

How can the swampers be to thin for the snow? I my experiance the thinner tire is better in the snow. First off you get more contact with the pavement with the thinner tire. The wide tire seems to ride on top of the snow giving you less control. Tread helps but still the more contact with the pavement the better.

your completely correct, i have done tons of research about it (thin tires will have same contact patch as wide for same weight and psi) however thin tires dig down to the solid ground, but were i go thats a good 6ft+, so it will just dig till my frame floats.

think im going to mount coils to the back of the york on the mount i fab up, i also think im going to weld a vbelt pulley up to the crankshaft pulley.

any ideas?

Can you post up some pics of your truck showing the winch setup ? Maybe a couple from a little distance? I like that idea.

never had a chance to clean up the welds, did everything with a cutoff wheel and a flux core welder
