Any one have recommendations on a fun place to spend the morning in Orange County?

Wife wants to go visit some friends in OC (Irvine) this weekend so I thought we'd get on the road early and enjoy the beach or something. I was thinking Crystal Cove but would be open to suggestions.

head up early and go to hidden house coffee in san juan capistrano, open at 8 on the weekends. best coffee shop in OC, best almond croissant you'll ever have (well, second best... the best is at renaud's in santa barbara). stroll down los rios for a bit, take photos next to huge cactuses for instagram, then head down del obispo street to dana point harbor and find the waterfall. cruise up PCH and take the canyon/133 all the way in to irvine. windows down/sunroof open the whole time.

Thank you for the recommendation I think we're gonna do it! Baby wakes up at 6am anyway so we'll hit the road when he wakes up. Will definitely have the sun roof open! :jump:

Looking good Les! I've been tossing around the idea of getting a personal plate, all of my previous cars had them. Was thinking "SOSORNR" that way people could identify me from the meets haha!

I got an email for that Toyota club saying a spot opened up for my 4runner. I think it's to actually be in the meet not just attend? Anyone know what this is? I have to register today for it.

its to be apart of the show! you need to arrive really early around 7am? they tell you where to setup with the rest of your class. Ive been going to TORC for years and its a great car show! I'll try my best to attend this year's show.

Ended up leaving later than expected (typical) so we went to Balboa island for a few hours. Drive wasnt as nice so well keep the dana point trip for another day.

bummer! babloa is pretty boring and always super busy on weekends, especially nice weekends. you'll have to try HHC next time!

Yea. We got there at like 8am and it was much busuer than i expected. Turned out to be garage sale day on the island. By the time we left at 10.30am it was a mad house.

Anyone know the if there are any benefits to have a slanted vs a straight swing out spare tire mount? I vaguely remember seeing or hearing about someone with a slanted and it breaking the back window when doing hard wheeling?!?!?!

Clearance. Slanted gives you a better departure angle than straight. Haven't heard of anyone breaking their rear window though, except for Miah, but that was his gas cans.

Does anyone have any idea how I can mount a hi lift to the side or top of my rack? I have found clamps but they are for roll rage steel that is an inch to 3 inches in diameter. My diameter is about 1/2 inch and maybe 6-8ish inches tall from top to bottom. As much as I would love to carry one on a rear bumper I can't afford those right now....I gotta do this thing called "adult".

I use u bolts to secure my hi lift. I'm sure that will change once I get my prinsu though.
