Can you use something like... Yakima 8007077 - Hi-Lift Jack Bracket - Roof Rack Accessories or https://www.quadratec.com/products/12031_2902.htm?gclid=Cj0KEQjw0IvIBRDF0Yzq4qGE4IwBEiQATMQlMVTdLMckoscDN7f1R6JjEqwQUld9srO6Pu5F34G0mjIaAtFD8P8HAQ? I think my neighbor used a Smittybuilt version of the same design. Of course, using that style of mount would depend upon the spacing of the bars on your rack. I have also seen home brew mounts made with flat stock and conduit brackets. A few bucks and 20 minutes at Home Depot would likely give you a decent option.Does anyone have any idea how I can mount a hi lift to the side or top of my rack? I have found clamps but they are for roll rage steel that is an inch to 3 inches in diameter. My diameter is about 1/2 inch and maybe 6-8ish inches tall from top to bottom. As much as I would love to carry one on a rear bumper I can't afford those right now....I gotta do this thing called "adult".
ryan, what rack is that?
I wonder if that box is any easier to set up with the snorkel...Got TRD?
Don't you need a 20 ton for bearings? Should have invested in a floor/wall mounted coil spring compressor. hahah.
I was out in Rowher Flats with some TW guys this weekend. We ran Drinkwater Flats, Rowher Trail over to staging area 3, and then up Lookout back to Boquet Canyon. Unfortunately I forgot my camera (and my jackets, it was cold with all the wind) but it was a fun day. I had Robbie take video of me doing the steps which I knew I was going to do with the new setup. I've been down them before but haven't been up. Pretty happy with my new setup on the KM2s. I was aired down to 13 at this point.
It wasn't as bad as I remembered it. First time I went down I ended up on my skids because of bad spotting.Awesome. I ran up that part of the trail for the first time a month ago. I chickened out on that obstacle and went to the left :baby:
When you getting a tube bender? I need to make some sliders and shiz lol
I've looked at a couple but the prices fluctuate all over the place and I don't know enough about them to justify the difference. I know how to use them but that's about it. My assumption thus far is for a descent used one I'm lookin at $3-350 buck range and I only wanna make a front bumper and sliders oh and a ladder but I don't need a bender or dom tubing for that, which the bumper I can have made for me for 350 and sliders basically the same. So that's hard to justify buuuutt...if someone in particular 85straight or anyone else even a few people wanting sliders etc wanted to go in on a good bender and attachments I would be down for that ...once we fab up all that we wanted from it just turn around and sell it for a return on your investment. Everyone walks away happy.
I wonder if TK-422 has a bender by any chance. Since he's so busy with lights and shiiit now a days and not welding. Haha
