I know man I keep chuckling everytime I see comments about this funny situation you were in...
But what kills me is I had a couple extra sleeping bags and foam padding you could've used and would have been all cozy just chillin ...but not knowing about the seats folding down completely flat is where the problem is cause knowing that you would have figured the rest out on your own. And would have had the bright �� To make a bed.
But actually [MENTION=133319]MACT4R[/MENTION] is to blame I say :flamewar: ...you said you had never camped before what do I need?
I made the comment to Mac to break it down to you of the Things you will need , and [MENTION=128995]TK-422[/MENTION] :humble: made the comment ..it's the one thing I don't bring I will need... like there's so many things and personal preferences where would one start kinda comment ...being a smartass. (I probably would have as well)
But who was left screwed here was you cause they assumed you knew the basics of what to bring, like who wouldn't know that? And what does assume mean? ..

Anytime a grown man ask for help I take it as though they don't know jack shiiit about it and serious. Cause as men we don't ever ask for :helpr say we don't know.

But also, whenever You guys hear me say speak up, if anyone needs anything or has questions ...don't hesitate seriously. To avoid a scenario like this ...could have been resolved in minutes. But still ..this shiiit is funny outside of it happening to you and your chick ..nick.

Nick and I have been exchanging pm and broke it down what to bring. He had the basics tent, sleeping bags, pillows, blankets...etc but one thing I didn't break down nor dawned on me is every little things in the rig[emoji4]. You would think that you would check out all the stuff inside. When I got my 4th gen i was so excited that if I could sleep outside with it I would. Lol! That so funny!

I was looking and scanning through all the various classifieds out there looking at e lockers, 3rd members, complete axles etc and the miscellaneous items such as wiring harnesses etc to see what is needed to make it all work and what kinda prices are out there , best bang for my buck but I want to do it right the first time I don't wanna have to go back and do it again or have the system not communicating right causing me f ing problems. Looks like I found a couple good deals that are ready to go and regeared as well which would be ideal.

Since I'm already getting some tires from [MENTION=143757]MisterNickG[/MENTION] to get the ball rolling and this damn project started....
But in the end I will have made (next best thing) to what is considered the mystical unicorn. Factory made 3rd gen 3RZ 4cyl w/ E- locker...the only ones that were made like this had to be ordered by the customer and was the only time Toyota has ever and still to this day has offered that as an option direct from factory. It's Best of both worlds killer gas mileage and amazing wheeling capabilities with its indestructible 3RZ motor which you can build the shit out of it. But gearing and headers on this motor are the best two upgrades for your money and to see a significant change.

There was a guy recently that was selling a complete front end like two weeks ago. Axles, transfer case, etc. You know I'm just gonna give you shit hahahah. You've been more places than my elocked Tacoma that's for sure.

Electrical is the bane of my existence, but i've got a pile of lights a fridge thats getting wired this weekend (fingers crossed probably not though) and compressor on the wish list.

I shelled out the bucks for a Switch Pro, saved my life from having to do anything crazy or radical wiring wise - relays, switches, whatever. Thats my 2 cents, cater to your strengths and pay for the weaknesses. Really didn't matter how many you tube videos I watched either, i hate electrical stuff.

However, the Blue Sea fuse box is the bees knees.

I didn't want a lot of switches everywhere - plus couldn't find locations that I was happy with to have 6-8 switches. mounted their panel on the overhead console. wham bam thank you ma'am. Plus its equipped with blutooth, so didn't even need to instal the switch panel if I didn't want to.

found mine on ebay and saved a few bucks.

and i guess the alternative is to try to wire up everything individually, which means trying to snake 4 or 6 or 8 wires through the firewall?

Just ran into that problem last night. Was going to wire up my ambers in front and realized I was going to have to pull my second battery out in order to get to the firewall plug because I want to put the switch at the center console blank. Didn't feeling like working that hard so it didn't get done, haha.
