Yeah I used to run 255 square too, gotta love the ability to rotate the tires on them. Mine is back on stock wheels with 245/225 :cry2:

I think he likes it best because it makes his car more neutral around turns less oversteer. He goes to the track like 3-5 times a season and is always telling me to go with him. But there's a bunch of stuff I want to do to the 2.5 before I feel like it can handle the hard abuse of the track. It's not a Honda and can't be beat on without something breaking :boom: LOL.

LOL. Tell me about it. My S already has 196K miles on it and I beat the living hell out of it lol. Only thing I ever had to replace was my battery. Took it to the track maybe 5 times.

Side note does anyone know of a good movie editor for Windows? I cant find much other than stupid ads or malware.

I just use the GoPro software but I also don't do anything more than cut clips and put them all together. Throw some music in. Done.

Computer guy here too :thumb3: I think I built my computer like 5-6 years ago and it's still on par/ keeps up with today's computers, of course that was using all the top of the line goodies back then. Not too bad though considering how fast tech is moving now a days.

I didn't get to wheel this weekend I washed the 4runner gave it a much needed mini detail. But I did do a different kind of wheelin it consisted of high speeds and canyons. I ran Glendora Mt. Road and Azuza canyons in my Subaru and also discovered a off road trail down in the wash. I saw a bunch of trucks down there having fun, has anyone ran that trail before?

Azusa Canyon. It's essentially a mud pit. I haven't been but there's a couple water crossings and a couple random roads to drive, but the main event is watching people slog through the mud and get stuck. 4wd required and it's like an 8 dollar entry or something like that.

I didn't see any water at all lol it was dry as a bone super dusty, I could see all the dust floating up the canyon when driving down.

Water crossings scare me now hwell: after all our electrical issues that one time!

I just replaced the poopie coilovers it had on it and slapped on Koni Yellows/Espelir springs, and would like to possibly hit the track one last time before I decide to sell it. Hmmm, canyons I don't do haha. :lookout:

if you're running in the beginner/easy group (which it sounds like you will if it's your first time), track day is nothing more than 20 to 25 minutes of driving fast and learning to pick the right lines at a time. then a nice long break. then another 20 to 25 minutes of driving, and rinse and repeat. you don't have to put pedal to the metal and redline every shift if you don't want; in fact, unless you are a super talented driver, i'd argue that it's better you don't focus on that for your first time.

that car looks like it's taken care of. a fully oem car can shine at track days. you're ready, stop with the excuses :tape:

It sucks though, when I started I thought I would be slow so I tried the beginner group, then it turned out they were too slow for me..so I hopped into intermediate, and I was letting people pass by like every second lol. You can definitely kick ass in a bone stock car... though i see your 2.5RS might be STi swapped

Makes me miss my old NA. Never tracked mine. Had a single diagonal hard dog roll bar and some gross raceland coilovers. Looked badass though haha.

so you were one of the ballers that upgraded to the s2k. lol - i gotta say, for a $35k car, that snick-snick 6-speed transmission is still one of the best i've ever driven. it compares well to italian and german super machines (at least of the same era).

Yeah, might be dry now, but it's typically a giant mud pit. Went through some mud puddles this weekend but the deep water I'm good with avoiding, haha.

Hahaha, the transmission feels like it's bulletproof, though my clutch is due to a replacement soon (and an ap1 flywheel will be installed :lookout.

Ahhh, I love the Ducati! I ended up getting an '03 CBR 600RR, then crashed, fixed it, and sold it lol.
