It actually turned out good. You can kind of see the stack dimes but good penetration. Definitely need more practice. He had a plasma cutter as well and had to use it to cut a little piece off the bumper. That thing is sweet. Cut it so quick. I want these toys haha!

Before you start stacking try running a straight bead focusing on angle, speed, and distance. Once you get that down manipulating the puddle will be much more consistent for you. Then start practicing filet welds...then before you know it you'll be able to weld overhead buttjoints at 29volts:becky:

If it’s got slag, let it drag (flux core). If it’s solid wire with a bottle of Co2/ Argon it can be pushed or pulled. Pulling the puddle gets better penetration (giggity). That’s about as much as I remember from the class I took a few years ago

I was running a bead a few times and tried being fancy with stacking. I tried push and pull. I like pulling cause I can see what I'm welding. Need a lot of practice but at least I'm not nervous anymore. hehe!

I saw a Jeep on the way to work this morning which had more lights than I could imagine:
16 2x2 LED pods on a roof rack (4 on each side)
8 2x2 LED pods on the A pillars (4 on each side)
4 2x2 LED pods on the front bumper
4 2x2 LED pods on the back bumper
1 20 inch Amber/yellow light bar on the front bumper.
Scared of the dark much?

Sounds like someone got in on cyber Monday Amazon sales. They had the cheap pods on sale like 4 for 20 bucks.

Yo. Quiet around these parts anymore. You get all your maintenance done? Getting my rear end put back together Saturday with the new heavy coils. Now I'm just waiting on some uniball UCAs for the front since my ball joint UCAs won't work with the gusseted spindles I picked up.

I know I haven't been on the forums much, had to come back on to research my lca rebuild. I didn't yet...all my parts came in last night though. I'm going to get started on it Saturday, I got a long list of things to install. I didn't end up getting the poly steering rack bushings, they were only $37 but probably another 3-4hrs of work :mad2:
Stuff to install:
-JBA uca
-Icon 2.5rr (extended) coilovers
-Moog lbj x2
-Moog inner tie rod x2
-Moog outer tie rod x2
-ES poly lca bushing kit
-ES poly front sway bushing
That's awesome, you're on it haha. Is that all spindle gussets that won't work with ball joint uca or just those particular spindles you got? Don't most gusset kits just need to be welded to the stock spindle?
