So. Cal 5th Gen Folks - 4x4 Trip Tomorrrow

I tried going up that my first time with just 4 low and no spotters, took a bad line and had to back down. Put the rear locker on, grabbed someone to spot since all I could see was sky and the T4R walked right up. The two jeeps that were with us locked up in 4Lo and went up as well. Kraze in his 3rd get went up a nasty little section just off to the side of this. The last hill we did that day was by far the gnarliest, we were parked and I saw it and said, hmmm... I wonder if I can make it up that... and just went off while everyone watched from the bottom. It took 4 lo, rear locker and a mashed skinny pedal to get up, but everyone ended up doing it! Fun stuff. :isa:

We finished off the day with a great hour and a half night blast up San Felipe wash while I routed us back out of the desert and into Borego Springs. Great trip!

Sounds like a blast. Sadly I had to work...

Which leads to the all mighty question, when's the next one.
 
Sorry for not making it, I had to go in to work at 3pm. What a fun trip did you guys also do superstition mountain? If you guys want we can plan a trip to go at the end of the month I been wanting to do a ocotillo/superstition run.
 
What an awesome day wheeling. SOcalTRAIL wasn't joking when he said we had a little bit of everything. There was one point where we were actually outrunning a baja bug, and another time where we were passing up a group of dirt bikes and quads. Definitely some fun stuff.

Never made it to Superstition, might be a good one for the next trip.

I would have liked to have seen those guy' faces on the quads and bikes when two 4Runners blew by em on the other side of the wash at 50 mph. Too fun. :yo:
 
That's some good quality camera work, especially those shots you got while we were flying down dirt roads :thumb: That last hill does look unusually tame in the photo though haha. I guess everyone will have to trust us when we say that it was the worst one of the day. I think you should bust that drone out next time to really get some crazy footage.

And it should be noted that the Jeep in the picture was the only vehicle that we had to turn around and go back for because of something failing, albeit it wasn't a catastrophic failure or anything, but still... :lol:
 
You boys look like you hit some stuff that both my 4R and I are capable of. I would of dome alot of bystanding if I would have gone.

Oooooh, well in that case, me and you need to go wheelin' together so we can keep each other company while spectating. Some of that looks way too hardcore for me too :tea:
