So Engine Air Filters are half sized now ??

Filter bought from dealer on 20 june 2022.

the one on the left (full size) I bought about six months ago from the dealer ....

Well, in the home; a thinner air filter increases the replacement frequency.

Did the recommended replacement interval change, along with the design?

You missed the other thread we had on this, but it's all good.

Prevailing theory is that due to material and production issues, the filters have been "downsized" a little to maintain a good flow of new vehicles and replacement parts.

Theoretically, they should go back to the "normal" sized ones when stuff gets caught up. Whether or not they will is going to be something we should all keep an eye on.

this is the other way they can save cost in manufacturing without increasing the price. people just don't realize they are being cheated on.
