So I decided to lube the zerks today ...

Went out and bought a grease gun and some synthetic grease at Napa. Backed the 4R into the driveway. Prepped the grease gun with the grease and crawled under the 4R. Surprisingly, I can actually crawl under the SUV without jacking it up.

Grease gun in hand, I scoot over to the differential to grease my zerks, only to discover, much to my surprise, I have no zerks to grease. Not only that but I have a one piece driveshaft. I felt around the joints and felt no nipples at either end of the driveshaft.

All this after I spend about $20 on the stuff I was going to use to grease the zerks.

I had one of those impossible moments: I just won and had a WTF moment. Now I can't return the grease gun and grease :(.

Funny, guess what I did today? Greased all my zerks. :)

Are you 4wd?
 
Should I worry that I have no zerks to grease or rejoice in the fact that its one less maintenance item I have to do? :/

Rejoice in one less maintenance item. 2wd driveshafts don't have zerks. You could ask your local dealer (if you have a good service writer) if there is any maintenance for them, but I'm pretty sure there isn't.

where are you located? I might buy it off you if we can work something out.
