First point of contact was the front drivers side pillar, and before I could get stopped it scraped all the way across the top taking the brand new OEM rack that I just put on a month ago with it. 3 seconds sooner or later and it misses me

The LEO that worked it said that they've had trees falling all over the area due to the rain after this crazy drought we've been in.

Will see what the adjuster has to say, but I'm scared they're going to want to total it with the damage to that pillar.

Holy shi* man what a freak thing to happen. I'm sure that was startling to say the least. I've had large tree limbs fall on 2 cars I've owned but they were parked in my driveway. Thanks for sharing & glad you're ok.

Wow, I hate to see posts like this. My biggest fear is something falling on me like a tree or boulder or some idiot rear-ending me or changing lanes trying to grab that extra 6' of pavement...and bam...Sorry about the damage. See if you can total up all your mods and ask them to do an "agreed or stated" upon value. Unfortunately, these don't fall into the collector category. Really sucks for you. Get a low quote (just below ACV) on the repair and hope for the best.

Awe man! That's devastating [emoji24] You clearly love and take good care of your rig.
I hope and pray you come out of it with adequate compensation. For how much we pay for car insurance, I'm always amazed how tough it is to get compensated. Never been my fault, yet I have to fight tooth and nail to not get completely bent over by the others insurance!
Also glad you- or anyone else- weren't physically hurt [emoji1374]
