So. Nevada Trails

I have been enjoying having 4wd again and exploring all these desert roads that Southern Nevada has to offer. So glad I ended up in a 4R and not a luxury SUV.

I'm envious, I spent the day in the rain at a shopping center.

You probably already know about it and have been there, but here it is anyway: Mojave Preserve - I had a number of good trips there going to a Lava tube, Hole in the wall, Aiken cinder mine just past the Lava Tube, Death Valley Mine near Cima (not in Death Valley) Macedonia Canyon, and the spring by the Bert Smith cabin.

Current Conditions - Mojave National Preserve (U.S. National Park Service)

So Nevada and Mojave Preserve

I will have to get out to Southern Nevada. I went through there in June when it was 105 F in Lost Wages.
I've been reading about the Mojave Preserve. That's pretty close to here. I will be going out this spring.
Great photos.

I've probably driven through there once going from Vegas to mammoth mountain. We found an abandoned town and a sign saying we were at the lowest part below sea level in the USA. Somewhere in Death Valley. Too many random cows roaming the roads and the craziest windiest road ever also. Seasickness may have ensued driving that road.

Im looking forward to doing this run. I am relatively new to Las Vegas and just got back into a 4wd for the first time in 5yrs. I am really really liking all the public access and old mine roads that we have here. Let me know if you ever go out and want a tag along.
