So, NGK says NO anti-sieze

Ive never used anti seize on a spark plug and have never had an issue removing one that I had replaced.

Another vote for "never used anti seize on spark plugs, never had a problem". I've been wrenching for about 20 years now and I've never used it on plugs and I've never had one that I couldn't get out.

Torque to spec and you'll be fine.

I've never been clear. Here's what NGK said once upon a time

Our plugs do have that "special plating" that's silver in color, so no anti-seize.

Not trying to beat this topic to death, :deadhorse:BUT I recently changed plugs in our three 4runners without anti-seize, but I find it interesting that NGK says to bottom out the plug by hand and then go about another 2/3 of a turn.

The box ALSO says to torque the plug 18 ft lbs if you have a torque wrench.

The FSM says 13 ft lbs and makes no mention of anti-seize.

What I noticed is that 13 ft lbs is more than 2/3 of a turn so 18 ft lbs has to be even more than that.

At any rate, I don't use anti-seize and torque to 13 ft lbs wit YMMV

I've always put a tiny dot of antisieze on the plugs, with an install date.
