So there is this slight problem...

Hey guys, I'm kind of stuck in a rut right now, the truck is doing something funny. here's everything I can think of to say to help getting the solution to the problem;

On Friday in the morning 13JUN2014 at around 0900, I went out to go drive my truck to the park on base just to get some part moving because I've been driving my car for awhile, it started up fine and drove with no problems. I do my morning workout at the park then drive it back to the barracks at which I stay which is about 2 miles give or take round trip not going over 25mph. around 1430ish I go out to start the truck again to get it on the highway and drive it in a normal driving condition, but all it did was start and bog down to about 400rpms and dies out. so I spent about 5 hours looking into what was wrong just toying around and using the K.I.S.S rule. (Keep It Simple Stupid, for those of you that don't know). while checking for things I found that these all came into affect;

1. The fuel pump is turning on and pumping
2. There are no vacuum leaks
3. The throttle body is clean
4. No leaks in the fuel system
5. Spark plugs are brand new, along with the wires
6. No loud whistling or hissing from intake or exhaust to indicate leaks
7. All sensors related to the intake or mass airflow are plugged in

As far as all that's concerned I will say that I Had the un-programmed URD PCU which was supposed to be tuned for my year 98' for the 7th injector installed and I thought that that may be messing with the computer so I took it out and reset the battery. when I did that it seemed to help but still no smooth running vehicle. it would shut down after a few seconds.

about 1900, a buddy of mine came out with an OBDii reader and we got the following codes

P0100
P0110

it seems like this is irrelevant to me though because they only popped up after the truck was off, but some one may be able to clarify that for me. so come today I got a buddy of mine and we both looked at the truck together, and he said it seams like its not getting enough flow that the truck is choking itself out, could it be that the Cat is clogged from the use of the supercharger? and I had another buddy tell me, which I believe his judgment a bit more, is there could be a map sensor gone bad? as far as this goes I'm really not sure, the truck isn't blowing any smoke when its running, and the engine isn't making any noises that would tell me its scoring or anything of that matter. the engine only has 141k miles on it and I feel like its something stupid, I don't want to have to tow it to some mechanic.

yes, I do its the drop-in one, but would it cause the truck to do that? just not want to run? I'm going to go try it now

Edit: I tried that and no cigar

A k&n does not affect your MAF

Unless you oiled the engine side of the filter and oil then got on the maf.

If you oiled the fresh air side of the filter only (correct way) then no oil will have leaked through.

Yeah it's really pissing me off that it just up and stopped running. It wasn't like I'm jumping it and taking it through deep water or anything. I normally baby the thing. And it just stops wanting to run after running fine.

I agree but to your point they can affect the maf if they are oiled incorrectly.

not to derail this thread completely, but that is usually the case.

to the op, you said the pump is running, but is it putting out enough pressure?
I would get a pressure tester and check it.

Had the same thing happen to a Taco owning friend of mine. He over oiled the K&N and junked up the MAF. Same symptoms. Cleaned it and all was restored in the world.

unplug the MAF, try running it that way. It will run with a limp, but it should start and run. If it starts and runs without the MAF, maybe think about replacing it. If not, you are probably on the wrong track, search elsewhere.

INSPECT MAF METER RESISTANCE

Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminals THA and E2.
If the resistance is not as specified, replace the MAF meter.

INSPECT MAF METER OPERATION

(a) Connect the MAF meter connector.
(b) Using a voltmeter, connect the positive (+) tester probe to terminal VG, and negative (-) tester probe to terminal E3.
(c) Blow air into the MAF meter, and check that the voltage fluctuates.
If operation is not as specified, replace the MAF meter
(d) Disconnect the MAF meter connector.

So I have reason to believe it's not the MAF, it doesn't even run with the MAF unplugged. Could it be the supercharger? Do I need to replace the stock intake manifold?
