Performance Auto Service & Repair in Costa Mesa quoted me $450 for clutch/flywheel/rear main seal install if I provided parts. Not bad. Is that the normal price for labor these days?

It's a thing I do. I've worked on or helped with several lifts. Plus I'm a mechanic at heart. ( worked at a shop for many years).

Also, if you have this work done to your own rig and you take it wheeling, it's good to be familiar with what you have and how it goes in. So yeah it's nice to have someone install it for you, but better to learn while it's installed.

Shout out to Matt [MENTION=109205]mwray8909[/MENTION] he is a stand up guy! Also if you need any work done and/or you'd like to learn hit him up. Yesterday we installed a Toytec Ultimate lift with Boss shocks in the rear and Light Racing UCA, learning about and getting to work on my own rig was worth way more than what any shop would charge. Thanks for sharing your skills and knowledge with me.

Thanks man, it was a good time. I got to learn a couple new tricks as we went. Always room to learn more. Now we need to get out and test it!

Only charged me like $25-30 I think. Not sure how much he's going to charge you for the work you need done.

ended up just getting it done at BRO muffler in HB since it's right by my shop. $80 to cut the tailpipe off at the muffler and bend & weld on a new one. no more rattle!

mwray - how are you with electrical? i swear one day i'm just going to show up with a 30 rack and a backseat full of shit i need your help with!

Bilstein install around Ventura/Moorpark

Looking for a recommendation for a Bilstein 5100 install around Moorpark in the Ventura County area. Shes a 2014 Trail with kdss. Called up the local dealership and they quoted 8 hours at 125 an hour. Yikes. At the quoted price I could install better shocks, buy jacks, an impact driver, and suffer the headache to diy. Thanks all.

Regarding noise... Did you lift recently? If so, do you mind listing parts?

Had all the sensor's recalibrated on Friday... VSC still engaged 3x on my way up to Big Bear on Saturday
