Also if you guys want someone and don't mind him working out of his house.

I agree, i recommend them frequently on this forum.

If you're in the South Bay, Lexology in Redondo Beach are Toyota specialists. They do good work and have taken care of me pretty well.

Anyone have any shop recommendations to take a prospective 3rd gen to in Orange County?

i got my engine rebuilt by a shop and the rebuild lasted only 4500 miles till the head gasket blew. my temp gage never rose past half so somewhere around the head was too much pressure so i guessing they put the wrong head or head gasket. so now i have water and oil mixing .

For a lift install, JBM Motoring has the best prices in town. Paul and Oscar are awesome, friendly and super helpful.

Cool I may have to use a shop like this. I have had shocks and springs in my garage for a couple months but life obligations keep getting in the way of me installing the stuff.

Thanks, do you mind me asking what they charged?

i had a lot of stuff going in at the same time, but it's very reasonable (for a shop). i think their going rate is $115/hr?

plus they'll give you an extra 5% off if you put their license plate frame on your truck.

How about for suspension lifts? ToyTec kit on a '16 TE w/ KDSS? Would you trust them for this?

yea. the owner of the shop has a crazy FJ, so they are no stranger to aftermarket stuff.

in fact, on any day if you drop in you'll usually see some nicely built rigs in their lot, mixed in with your every day lexus and toyotas.

but i had mwray8909 install my lift if you are willing to go to ventura. helluva lot cheaper and you get to learn a few things too. he's hella chill to hang with for the day and his dog is awesome too!
