if you ever wanted to get rigid lights the time is now
Rigid Industries Duallies Under $150 delivered - Tacoma World Forums
these are great prices on the group buy ends jan 31st.
i ordered my amber lights i wanted looks like ill have to stop by when i get them and get those tabs welded on.
That is still a high price for warning lights to me. I think i'm going to find so cheapo ambers just for rear warning lights. i would really like some flashing ones.
But let me know and we can weld those tabs on. I have a few extra tabs laying around we can use.
ya for warning lights its still to high but or regular lights its not too bad and i really wanted amber for my low forward facing lights.
ill let you know when they come in and well get it figured out.
you gonna come to jawbone?
I may, I'll see if the other wants to go. I will let you know when it gets closer.
It can be real windy. We're usually tucked up next to the mountain so if it's windy it's not too bad.
This crowd likes to stay up late and party so no going to bed at 10pm. Haha.
Anyone know if you actually have to drop the front diff in order to change the oil pan seal?
Not the slightest clue, but I'm guessing so. That front diff takes up a lot space. I haven't had to pleasure to change one yet. Im pretty lucky w my runner as I've never had any major engine leak/troubles. Knock on wood.
But if it does ever give me troubles, the whole engine is getting scraped. I need a good excuse for a 4.7 in it.The 3.4 has always left me disappointed when i hit the skinny pedal. I would love to grab up the entire engine/running gear off a 1st gen tundra/sequoia
I'm looking at these right now:
Japan Engines
JDM 95 04 Toyota Tacoma 5VZFE Engine T100 4 Runner Tundra 3 4L V6 4x2 4x4 5VZ FE | eBay
LKQ has the 3.4l for about $1000. Their parts are normally in really good shape. That's who I buy all my parts from. They even deliver to me at work for free.
Thanks! I'll look into that
I think i can manage, I might just have to get a nap during the day. Getting old sucks, or working normal people hours suck.
hey conner i just met a guy today that buys 3rd gen 4runners and parts them out all day. i can see how much an engine would be if you want.
I'm looking into rebuilt engines mostly. Thanks anyways!
You beat on your skids yet?
ok sounds good.
hey my rigids already came are you availabe sunday (if you dont watch football) to weld those two tabs on.
ill buy a case of 805 for ya.

Why go with a rebuilt engine for $3000 vs a used low mileage one for $1000-$1500 ?
The way I figure it, if the engine needed to be rebuilt at 150k miles than it wasn't a good one in the first place. I think any good Toyota should make it to 175k miles.
So you would be buying a higher mileage rebuilt engine.
I'd rather get a used one that came out of a rear end collision. Just my thoughts ....
The $1500 low mileage used engine you linked above looks like the way to go.
