Edit: I think I'm still going to try and get a group together for a Corral Canyon run on the 12th. Would any of you be interested in a Cougar Buttes run in May though? Preferably the beginning of May, so I have time to fix anything I might break before I drive the runner 1300 miles on Memorial day weekend lol.

I just got this sudden urge to go out and see some dirt, and Sunday is all booked with baby stuff. If anyone is doing anything fun tomorrow, Saturday, and want another car on the trip, let me know!

I'm thinking of doing either Main Divide, Hungry Valley or Rover Flats if no other ideas come up.

Heres a pic of my buddies basically stock taco running it. All he had was sliders and 33's. and i think it was his 2nd time wheeling.... Its easier to talk people into stuff before they know what its like.

I'm sure it could. I just like my clutch too much. I'll continue my wait for duals.

So i was at cougar buttes today, and im staying out of hammer down. Its real gnarly right now. just parked my truck and sat shotgun in my buddies rig going up hammer down. took a full 10 minutes to run it all, but thats not saying much. its not a good idea for an ifs rig, not saying it cant be done, but that ending section has had a few rocks move around and it looks like a good spot to flop... if you were good with some major dents its no problem. Im still down for CB in a few weeks. You can decide if you want to run it then.

If you want to test that front locker go run claw hammer.

If it's bad enough so that you won't run it, I definitely don't need to try haha. I have to drive this thing 1300 miles less than a month after this run, so I can't exactly destroy it. Hammer down is out then!

Maybe im just lame.... if the one big rock at the end of the trail moves another foot or 2 it will be nothing.
 
I'm up to walk it when we get out there to see what it's like. If it doesn't look too bad, we can run it, if it does, then we'll skip it.

So are we thinking Sunday May 4th then, same meeting spot as last time, say 10 am or so? That work for everyone?
 
Kind of a random question. But does anyone have a beat up rear hatch they would be willing to part with? I'm thinking of cutting mine up to fit a few spares back there and may go thru the door to keep the cg down and behind the rear axle.
