SoCal BS and Rant Thread

So I been think off replacing my toytech coilovers for king coilovers. I only put 400 miles on my toytech since installing them in December.

What's your goal? Your not going to see a whole lot difference for slow crawling. IMO it wouldn't be worth the extra money for slow crawling. It will probably make high difference in the fast desert stuff though.

Why bother? If you're looking for more travel slow crawling, jump to a 550lb coil and you'll see way more of a difference then you are going from Bilstein to King.

But I know you aren't going for slow crawling. The toytec's you have now are great. They suit your set up just fine. Take the money you would spend on Kings and put it into a long travel fund.

Hey. Me and a small group of friends (a mix of 4WDs and dirt bikes) are heading up to El Mirage tomorrow for some wheeling and possibly some BBQ. If you're going to be in the area let me know, or if you see me in the mag grey '14 TE come up and say hi. It would be fun to meet some forum people out there in the real world.

Happy <strike>easter</strike> wheeling!

Sorry for not responding sooner, but was helping my grandma move her business to a new location after 25yrs. However reason for going with king was because it was going to be a $300 upgrade after i sell my old coils. Type of build im going for is to let me go fast in the desert(not racing fast just to mess around in the whoops and small jumps) and do slow crawling when i want to. Long travel is my best bet, however im also looking into keeping the same width as it is but just reinforce my suspension. I also talked to TC about stock lenth replacement lower front arms($1500) with the option for duel shocks(bybass shocks). ehh i'll just put more miles on my toytech and put money in for my 200k service.

Yep! I guess we should make a new thread for it lol. I doubt anyone else will come out besides those that already said they would, but at least we'll have a place to post all the pictures that way.

That's a wide *****. Kinda funny that he's on stock rear suspension with that much front travel, kinda pointless.
Makes me want to finish my rear end soon. But at least in making progress on it, almost done with the rear axle truss.

I knew you wanted to see what a one piece front end would look like. Well there ya go haha.

I could respond quicker if this website would load. If only there was another 4runner forum that actually worked. (Cough cough join 4runners.com cough)

I've seen the once piece tundra conversions and am not a big fan of them.

I've got enough forums to keep me busy from doing actual work as it is now. I mainly just use the forums to find meets. I can normally keep myself busy between here and TW for the desert/LT runs.

For anyone in the Ventura county area there is a meet/show thing going on this weekend. I'll be there with a few other LT toyotas.
