How did I miss this update!? Must have been too many tire threads this day or I maybe I was actually working that day.
I cant wait to see it back from powder coat.
It turned out great, glad you took your time building it to do it right.

***Bumper Update***
Got some more square toooob and got my tire carrier almost buttoned up. Just a few more little details and the carrier portion will be done.
Still have to:
-Re-locate the backup camera (thinking about putting it smack in the middle of the swing out in a little armored housing, I bought an aftermarket Alpine camera)
-Make a new license plate holder. Gotta decide if I want it on the spare or mounted to the Gobi ladder, I have it temporarily zip tied to the Gobi ladder and it actually fits there well.
- Weld in the studs and mount pads for my Hi-Lift, It is going horizontally along the swing out arm.
- Add in my redundant safety catch. Even though the "bear claw" latch I am using is very strong, I want to have a redundant safety so I bought a 3/8" 20,000lb QD push pin that I need to mount.
- Last but not least, I need to finish making the trim pieces. I had to wait until everything was welded up before I tackeld this.
- After all is done, Powdercoating!!!!

Seriously, how much do you want to make your behind the grill magic happen? That is the slickest, most subtle and legit way to add extra lights without the luxury of a Gobi rack that I have seen. Name a price

That rear bumper is stunning.
I'd be in for a bracket. Found a VisionX dealer with a guy that thinks he might be able to fab one, but no firm "yes" from them yet...

I'll check my folder of CAD files and see if I still have them I lost a whole bunch a few months back during a computer transition at my company. Big bummer!

Add me to the wait list if you ever make some for purchase... Keep in mind I know you had to massage the ac lines and tweak some stuff on the go , so I wouldn't be expecting it to be 100% plug and play.. But it would still turn out better then anything I could produce in my chop shop... That also goes for you aux battery tray... I have no clue why you insist on enjoying your weekends instead of making me parts. Not cool brah

Maintenance!!!!
I spent all day Saturday doing some maintenance on the rig. At 40k miles, I performed the following:
* Changed engine oil - Mobil 1 0w-20
* Changed oil filter - OEM toyota
* Installed Fumoto drain valve on oil pan.
* Changed front and rear differential fluid - Redline 75W-85 GL-5 Gear oil
* Changed T-Case fluid - Redline 75W-85 Gear oil
* Cleaned AFE Dry Engine Air filter
* Changed cabin air filter - OEM Toyota charcoal filter
* Cleaned and re-greased all greasable poly suspension bushings with SuperLube
* Cleaned and re-greased the slip yoke and all greasable u-joints.
* Re-painted wheels with
* Touched up sliders
* Washed and waxed with Meguiar's Ultimate
+ I had a bit of time to do a little more work on the bumper. I made the "stop bumps" for the swing out latch and fabricated the plates for my safety pin secondary latch. Also came up with a nifty mount for the Hi-Lift up on the Gobi. Pics to come!

Here are some better pics of how I welded the swing out spindle to the bumper. On the back side of where it is welded there is a 3/8" plate permanently welded to the frame that those 3/8" bolts go through. There is still a piece of 1/4" plate that is going over all of this. Its incredibly solid!
Pics look like crap, the bumper needs powdercoating, it only has a light coat of Rustoleum for the time being to keep it from rusting too bad.

Finally got my Hi Lift mounted how I wanted it!!
I never liked Gobi's solution to mounting the Hi Lift Jack on the side of the Stealth Rack and I have been looking for a store bought solution for quite a while. I ended up coming up with a homebrew solution that I think is pretty darned nice.
The parts I used are all readily available, nothing custom, and all reasonably priced! All parts were purchased from McMaster-Carr. (McMaster-Carr)
2- Rod-Mount Block-Style Sanitary Clamping Hangers (Part #3063T14)
2- 316 Stainless Studs - 3/8"-16 Thread - 1.5" Long (Part #98865A525)
One pack of stainless 3/8"-16 Wingnuts (Part # 93575A031)
I opted for all stainless stuff which bumps the price a bit, if you were wanting to save a few bucks, going with zinc or cad plated hardwear would work pefectly fine as well.
The studs line up perfectly with the holes in the Hi Lift as you can see; that is just a plain old run of the mill 48" Hi Lift. Everything is super solid and strong. I have some aerosol plasti dip that I plan on spraying the beige colored plastic with to hide it a bit better.

Man that is one sick 5th gen! It really is a beast and builds like yours keep 4runners on the map. Im also diggin all the lights! Now i realize just how serious some people on these forums really are. I gotta step my game up! hahaha

Yesiree Mike! - My front KDSS bar has been "missing" for over a year now. I took it off and never looked back. Im actually looking into ditching the rear KDSS which doesnt do a whole lot now and fabricating in a custom Curry Anti Rock rear sway bar similar to how these guys did it here:

Not a problem. I still find it strange that the TE isn't offered in white. My dad had the same reservations when he looked at the TE's.
