Unfortunately the difference between the top female teams and the bottom ones are quite large. That and since goals scored may come into play as well as the limited amount of substitutions mean that some scores are going to be run up. 13-0 is a bit out of control though. Thankfully that has been the exception over the rule and there have been some very entertaining matches thus far.

Goal record was 11 till yesterday, ha Women's team is saying we here to defend our title. Game went as expected.
Some folks are crying saying our team should've let off playing all out, I was coached as letting off is disrespectful to your opponent.

It looked like a varsity vs. JV scrimmage - it kinda was. The US team's level of play and match experience is overwhelming. Thailand's defense was just terrible and just stood around, especially in the second half. The score could have been even worse.

No matter what they do, people will complain about the U.S. team. They are very controversial and there's a lot more at stake than just a soccer match for them. They clearly want to send a message. Can't wait to see them against some better teams.

Well done ladies! I think the message was sent. :usa2:

I agree this isn't AYSO.

Not our job to stop scoring its their job to stop us.

The agony of defeat is a good teacher builds character, Thailand has game film to study on.
How many have noticed in games any sport when score is so lopsided players get sloppy, SB 51 good example.
As Soccer game went on I started watching the game play/strategy of our girls/coach, this game is film for coming opponents. I'd bet some other teams are making adjustments. looking forward to upcoming games, our girls Rock.

They were completely gassed by the 2nd half. Which is why it ended up being a landslide.

Did you notice why they gassed out ? Was it conditioning or slight physical body difference's ?
I caught it in a few running side by side shots.

It was playing a team that was next level fast than what they were used to. They spent way more energy keeping up with them in the first half and couldn't keep that pace up in the 2nd. It takes more energy to chase on defense than push on offense. It's true in most sports.

For sure. I noticed where some Thai players were almost double stepping to keep up with US players, longer legs of inch or two makes a big difference, didn't see it but half dozen times when cam caught it.

Sports, football is a game. On the field they are living people. Anything can happen. We can talk about the game in different ways. But it is not known how the forum users looked on the field.

Hi Zarina,

I completely agree with you, game is a game. there one side will lose and the other win. but we get frustrated only when we watch those abysmal performances by our beloved team and players. we expect them to play a better show with whole heart effort. after all, we are fan of our team and wish great success in the coming season.
