Solid Axle Swap 89 4Runner

Taking the front 8" Differential from an 83 4cyl Pickup putting it in an
89 4runner IFS. I believe most of the parts will fit. Modifications will be
needed. Wonder if I will need to purchase a whole kit or just some pieces, since I have all the steering from the 83 Pickup.

New to this site. Will look around to see if someone has already done this.

I second ajordan's remark--buy the kit. You will get all new brackets, so you don't have to worry about saving the old ones or fabricating new ones--remember, that's what your entire suspension will be hanging on. A quality kit like Trail-Gear will replace your steering gear with proper high-mount parts that won't get in the way on the trail. Basically, the kit will take care of everything but the axle and driveshaft (and TG even helps beef up your axle with gussets and diff armor). It's WELL worth it!
