solved my vibrating lightbar - sort of

Since I've mounted my light bar on the roof I have been getting a bad vibration from it. Far more than just wind noise. This weekend I "fixed" it, temporarily. We had freezing rain Friday and Saturday and I had quite a build up of ice on the front of the light bar. The lens is recessed from the front "trim" piece of the light bar and the ice filled all of that in plus some. We took a trip to Chicago Sunday and all I heard was some wind noise. It was such a relief. Now, will I be able to fit some plexi in there and prevent this for good is the question.

Could you tilt the bar a degree or two and fix it that way?

That hasn't helped. I think the cause is location and the fact that the "lens" is recessed causes a much worse air flow. After the ice melts I might experiment with and without a piece of cardboard in there to try to verify better that this is magnifying the problem. I don't mind the wind noise much, but the vibration sound drives me nuts on the road.

What's rattling though? The lens? Isn't it gasketed or siliconed in?

The light bar vibrates at high speeds and sometimes moderate. It vibrates the whole roof and is pretty loud. The roof rack and the light bar are mounted solid and nothing i loose.
