Got in touch with SSO, it will be no DRILL!

they are also working on light bar mounts etc for it.

Can't wait to see the product announcement

Pinsu used to be my favorite looking aluminum rack, now this one is the best looking IMO. I didn't buy the Pinsu because of having to drill and I ordered a heavy, expensive Gobi instead (on my 18th week of waiting right now). I would much rather have this SSO rack.

It is definitely a quality rack and like the prisnu you can add/remove the bars as needed. It also flows really well with the lines of the gx470 so I'm hoping that they will do the same with the 5th gens. They said to watch the website and follow on Facebook. The gx470 was not drilled in the front but its mounts are different than the 5th gens.

Thats a sick looking rack. No reason a roof rack shouldn't follow the roof line. If it's a drill option don't let that be a deal killer guys. Sheet metal drills EASY. ;)

I spoke to them on the phone and it seems like they will have a 3 week lead time. Just an FYI.

Also it will cost $999 plus shipping.

Yea, sheet metal roof drills easy. And you can always use SS washers and nuts on the inside of the headliner. :hand:

No thanks. If it doesn't fit the existing bolted anchors of the original, stock roof rack, don't bother. Remember, you have to waterproof the anchor points and any added anchors have to sit in a low trough, the roof gutter.

I like my BajaRack flat utility rack with cross bars at 4" oc (no mesh) a lot.

I asked them this over the phone and they said no drilling is needed to install.

Didn't have issues with mine?:violin::violin::violin:

For any of you who have talked with SSO do you have any specs (load carry capacity, dimensions, etc)? I didn't see any specs for the Lexus version.

I'm sure it's around the same as others 300lbs and 800-900lbs static. My neighbor has a large 23zero rtt on his.
