Hey, my F150 has 147K miles on it, and I've had to replace:
- driver's side mirror
- right rear tail light
and that's it.
Something that beats the 4runner..

If my 4runner wasn't stick, i wouldnt own it, simple as that, some people just don't like shifting i suppose. Doesnt bother me on the west side highway at 5:30PM driving stick, i actually hate automatics in traffic. There is a time and a place for everything, but in a utility type vehicle such as a 4runner, the only way to go is stick.

Odd. based on my experience I would say the exact opposite. Only time I prefer manual is in a fast/sporty vehicle. Trucks and SUVs I prefer auto.

I understand that people do not like to manually shift. What I don't understand is his "bored to tears" statement. I would assume most people, including myself, have a better chance of falling asleep driving an automatic.

Or if you have absolutely no plans on allowing your 4Runner to be used by any member of your family who doesn't know how to drive stick. God forbid if I get into an accident I want them to be able to drive me to the hospital without having any fears of driving something they're not used to.
I love driving my manual tranny work truck B4000, though.

Sh¡t, what tires and brakes are you using? I want a set of those!
Every member of my family that has a lisence can drive stick, my parents made sure we all knew how for such an emergency, but thats besides the fact that if i was in that critical of condition, i would probably be in a meat wagon. (Both sisters have stick cars, '11 Jetta TDI, '04 Beetle TDI, and dad has stick too: 99.5 Jetta TDI, Mom can drive stick but has an auto 04 Discovery)

Ive never heard of this kind of suv before or the brand for that matter.. but i think its safe to say it beats the 4runner.. and any landrover/jeep/mercedes out there. Conquest Vehicles | Home I need one.
