Sonoran Steel 1.2 vs. Toytec Ultimate Lift Kit

Resurrecting this one again. I'm looking to do my lift on my '99 Limited in the next few weeks. I've read all 30 something pages of the 3rd Gen Lift thread and more. I'm looking at the Toytec Boss and SS 1.2 . My Runner currently has 17x9x -12mm BS Level 8 MK6's with 265/70/17 Nitto Terra Grappler II. Completely stock suspension. Eventually I'll end up on 33' possibly as large as 35's. I only want to do this once. What would you recommend and why? Please no smart ass comments, not trying to stir the pot just wanting to make sure I make the right decision before spending all that $$$

I'm very happy with my Sonoran 1.2 Radflo kit. I liked all the little things that were included to make sure everything was done right the first time. The reservoirs from Radflo are a different story but they've fixed that problem. Buy once, cry once.

I'm in the process of considering changing my lift from the OME 881/890 set up to something taller in the back but I want the full 3" up front.

I went OME 881/1"spacer up front and pieced my own SS rear together. I love the setup.

If I had the cash I would go Icon/fox/king up front and SS out back.

Yeah I saw you said that. My 881 set up with the OME shocks is just too stiff and brutal. I may keep that half inch spacer it came with and put it on this set up if I get it...

Yeah I hated it at first, once the bumper, winch and steel line went in it feels a lot better. What front end did you decide to go with?

I haven't ordered the SS yet but going with radflo if I do. I have a bumper and winch and still hate it off road ha

Nice, that will be a good setup. I hate the 881 setup but loved the price. HAHA. I will be going coil over someday. Maybe when these shocks and coils fully wear out. They have been sagging more lately.

Yeah my whole coil and shock set up was a grand shipped. It was cool to be able to do that but I've had it 6 months and ready for a better and bigger lift. Want SAS but I don't have $7k lol

I imagine the half inch spacers that I got for the OME front coils will fit on the SS I hope. I just don't want to try to piece together the toytec front with SS rear. Seems to be more expensive and more trouble

The radflo setup I believe is adjustable up to 3.5". You will not need any spacers.

I don't have the Radflo coilovers, but I have the SS 1.2 rear lift and the front drop diff along with King 2.5 coilovers up front. I got a good deal on the Kings, otherwise I am sure I would have been happy with a Toytec CO, Radflo, or even Tundra set up up front. I just knew that I wanted something that could adjust as I planned adding a winch, larger tires and whatnot, so the adjustability was a nice option.

I really like the SS 1.2 rear with Tokicos.
