2008 V8 SR5 4Runner w/84K mi, bought new by me and is a daily driver.
I always have music on but recently noticed a sound coming from forward of the instrument cluster when I have the windshield wipers on. Is a slight "ticking" noise, similar to but about 1/3 the volume of the turn signal "tick" and happens in conjunction with the movement of the wipers.
I've only been aware of this sound for the last six months maybe, think it's new but I first noticed it when the radio was turned off and I am unsure if it has always been present and I just never noticed it, or is new.
Anyone else ever experienced this, or have any guesses?
