Just got some parts together...( I guess I should have just made this my build thread to start with) Soupy is just what we call this 4runner..short for SoupKitchen since it was absolutely disgusting when I bought it. I will update it as I do some things!

2014/ 2015: addicted off road front bumper, new seats and door panels, rough country lift, n2.0 shocks in rear, rc springs 3" lift, jvc headunit touch screen, rear differential swap from yard, driverside power window switch complete, window tint 15% front, ac service

going on old Soupy : currently has Rough Country 3" lift with 265 75 16's. (spacers up frt and lift springs/ shocks in the rear)

started late yesterday then got held up with the night and the upper ball joint...

was able to jack the spring and shock into the top hat.

replaced lower ball joint while I was there..

this little guy down here caused me more frustration then anything:

tried a ball joint press with no luck, grinded off thread and ended up hitting around the base with a grinder and heated and beat out...

Tried the 3 jaw puller with no luck either...that thing ended up popping off with a lot of force.

Installing new Ebay Upper Control arms...they weigh about 7 pounds.

you just thread the lower bolt into the new lower and it will pull it through.

line up tops and thread in allen bolt. Cover with the provided caps, they have 3m adhesive on the back.

the Only other thing that wasn't perfect was I had to grind a little of the uca bolt housing where the 3rd washer goes, I couldn't for the life of me get it to fit in the space without doing so. You can probably use a thinner washer if you don't want to grind. Other than that the upper go in fairly easy.

I've just got the driver side done for now, will finish up this week when the weather is a little better. I was racing this am to beat the storms!!

sure thing, just took my grinder and hit this spot up for just a min. Took off just a bit to get washer in there.

got the rest done today. Will get some pics up after I get an alignment tomorrow.

for those curious the passenger side upper control arm fit perfect, didn't have to do anything on this side...Also, got the upper ball joint out in like 5 mins! All you need is a grinder and a couple of hits from a hammer. =)

skids back on and all cleaned up! I like the setup but the front end is a little stiff..hopefully it settles in a bit more.

Not sure if I am going to put the land cruiser wraps in the back, I picked up some from the junkyard. I believe they are 8.75 wraps....blue yellow white dots from a 97 lexus. Currently still have the rough Country rear springs and shocks in the rear.

well, the front end is feeling much better after a couple of weeks..plus aired down a bit. I didn't realize they shot almost 80psi in the tires..took it down to 47, much nicer around town.

The road spray was pretty bad after taking off the running boards so I tried those universal sparco flaps..I was feeling white, but they are actually transparent....I didn't like the look so i sprayed the inside black. They work, that's all I can say about that! ha.
