Spacer doubt? Urgent!!!

I went to buy an spacer lift kit and they wanted to sell a me an spacer for the front suspension that the spacer goes between the coil and the base of the coil and it wont use any screw. My question is that if It will function the same as a top mount spacer?

I have never really heard about a spacer for the bottom of the front coils. I am not very savy when it comes to suspension lifts in general really. I do not see there being much of a difference as far as where the spacer is located. Where were you going to buy this spacer lift from? Was it a reputable shop? I'm sure somebody else will chime in that has more knowledge about this than me. You could also call a off-road shop and ask them what they think.

I have only had the Daystar spacer ,it a 2 piece half goes on top of the plate and the other half under the plate .Any how my thought is if the whole block goes between the spring and the plate it would compress the spring more and make for a stiffer ride .Just my 2 cents.

I think the name of these spacers are isolators spacers. I was reading and they seem to be secure, but i want to be sure that they will function well on the 4runner.

There are 2 types of spacers for the front:

Preload - mount under the top hat on top of the spring. You need to disassemble the coil over to put these in.

Top mount - these mount on top of the top hat. Usually use longer studs.

The top mount is much easier to install.
