spacer on top of coilovers to level out rake a little?

hello everybody was jus wondering if i can get some input on this issue im having.
i just installed my lift that i've been piecing together for the last year while i paid the rig off.
this is what i got i put the toytec adjustable coilovers up front with the adjustable tundra 5100's(lowest perch on struts) the coilovers are jacked and almost maxed theres about 1/2 to 3/4 left of adjustment room left.
on the rear i put some lx450 8 wrap coils from a 97 lc i think they are 8.75 wrap and 8.25 wrap. according to the FAQ lift info these coils should of neted about 4 inches of rear lift.
i have about 3 inches of rake a little to much if you ask me. i thought that the coil overs would get me 3.5 may 4 inches if i crancked they all the way and with the rear going 4 it would sit pretty level if not maybe a inch or less of rake. however right now the measurement from top of tire to fender on the front is 8.25" and in the rear it is about 12 from top of tire to fender.
am i missing something the coilovers are almost maxed i used the original top plate spacer about 3/4" on top of coilovers but it looks like the front is lower than when i had just a leveling kit.
also i have a 3" bL and 315/75/r16.
i would post a picture but im not very computer savy.
my question is can a stack a 2.5" or 3" spacer on top of the coilovers and then crack down the coilovers to get a little less rack?
or maybe put the struts on the 2nd or 3rd perch then reassemble the coilovers?
any input would be greatly appreciated thanks

wow that was fast. kinda what i was thinking. is that why the cv's were more stressed(greater angle ) with the leveling kit then now with the coilovers?

Please post a pic of your front suspension. And also what coils are you rubbing in the front. Your stock? An ome? Possibly tundra trd? Or eibach? Would really help the guys figure out the source of your problem.

I am confused. You have toytec coilovers or tundra 5100 with toytec coils?

i have the toytec adjustable ebiach coilsovers that were supposed to come with bilstein 5100 tacoma struts, but at the time i ordered the coilovers from toytec they didnt have any tacoma struts in stock so i got the tundra ones instead. they are also the same thing but the only difference is more valving to account for the extra weight of the tundra. basically they're alittle stiffer.

here is the lx450 coils in the rear. the coilovers maxed and a view of the stock top plate spacer.

holy hell those pics are HUGE. sorry dont know how to fix that. i will post a pic of the whole rig tomorrow when theres some day light.

Thanks that clarifies a lot.

Two things come to mind.
Do you have a lot of front weight? Because IIRC the silver eibachs aren't 3 inches coils if you have bumper skids etc.

And if you just recently, like within a week I would say(granted no actual experience) they rear coils may be netting you a bit more then the average 4 inches because they haven't settled down.

But 3-3.5 difference isn't making a lot of sense to me. Maybe toytec mistakenly shipped you the wrong coils? Or shocks?

Sorry Im not much help just throwing out ideas for you.
Hope you get this figured out. And it seems like you'll have an awesome setup once you do.

I have the pre built toytec coilovers. Those look like the one's you build yourself. Is that correct? If so, is there a way to raise where the collar (thread) sets on the shock? This would allow you to compress the spring more and give lift. Mine are barely cranked and give 3". The rear fj coils are going to give you at least 4" lift even after they settle. Can't lift the front that high because of cvs.

No worries, unfortunately I never took before and after measurements. I was wondering the same thing with the coilovers, just doesn't seem right. The bottom of the bumper is 31.25" off the ground if that helps

They are the pre built. Jus came with tundra struts. But the struts are adjustable with the c clamp and the 5 perches. Its set on the first perch(lowest lift). When I talked to Toytec they said keep the c clamp on the lowest setting and adjust lift with the spanner wrenches only.

i dont have any extra weight up front nor back no spare or tow hitch currently.

What's been said in the past is that those LC springs will settle but to speed it up you'll need to throw some weight in the back. I think in the end you'll have 4.5-5"s of lift though regardless to what the lift Faq's say but that's just my opinion considering you have 4"s of rake right now. Those LC coils must not have many miles on them.

I just thought about something....I seem to recall some removed a rubber isolater that the stock springs were sitting on to lower the rear.

Call me crazy but since you do have the ability to raise/lower the spring perch why don't you just put it up on the next setting or two up and adjust your coilovers accordingly??

The only spacer that you COULD possibly use in your setup would be the 1/4" top out spacer which only gives you about 1/2" overall. You would still have to get some lengthened studs. I don't suggest doing it this way though.

Im not able to get the measurements from hub the fender today my tires stick out to far. And I don't have access to the shop till tomorrow. But I will get them ASAP.

wouldnt adjusting the perch do the same thing and make to much droop.
i geuss the best route to go would be wait till the coils settle, and if theres still to much rake then get smaller rear coils im not going for a ton of lift i just want to run my 35's with minimal rubbing. but 3 or 4 inches of rake is a little to mucheven though it looks mean as hell.

Or just buy a plate rear bumper to bring it back down. :D itooks pretty awesome to me. But I think your problem is a combo of the non settled rear springs and lack of the stock weight(hitch and spare)
So I'd wait a while and if it doesn't com down to a tolerable level grab some lower rear springs or find some junk for your trunk.

:wow::jaw drop:

Holy hell! Those coilovers are cranked up super high! Does it ride like crap? I'm willing to bet the shock is fully extended, or close to it.

Coil spacers will not work with this setup. You could run a top plate spacer, but there is really no point when you already have adjustable coilovers.

I'd suggest going up one notch with the c-clip and lowering the thread a little (or a lot) on the coilover. Adjusting the c-clip will not affect your droop/travel. The length of the shock is always the same no matter where the c-clip is set. This would just be changing the amount of pre-load on the springs. Putting a top plate spacer on however would give you more down-travel.

And also try putting some weight in the back end to level it out. The LC springs will sag down pretty good with 200 pounds or so in the back.
