spacer on top of coilovers to level out rake a little?

I may be wrong.....I don't have coilovers....but doesn't it look like the threaded part of the coilover is on the wrong side of the c-clip?

Holy hell! Those coilovers are cranked up super high! Does it ride like crap? I'm willing to bet the shock is fully extended, or close to it.

Coil spacers will not work with this setup. You could run a top plate spacer, but there is really no point when you already have adjustable coilovers.

I'd suggest going up one notch with the c-clip and lowering the thread a little (or a lot) on the coilover. Adjusting the c-clip will not affect your droop/travel. The length of the shock is always the same no matter where the c-clip is set. This would just be changing the amount of pre-load on the springs. Putting a top plate spacer on however would give you more down-travel.

And also try putting some weight in the back end to level it out. The LC springs will sag down pretty good with 200 pounds or so in the back.

the ride is fan-friggn-tastic. at least compared to the 99 tall coils,leveling kit (up front), and 3" spacer (in the rear) that i previously was running. i havent taken it on any trails cause i still gotta break in my new diffs and gears. and trim the front and rear so the 35's will clear easlier.

so not saying im going to do this but if i were to adjust the strut (to 2nd or 3rd perch) do i have to adjust the coils down the amount of lift that the struts give me, in order to not fully extend the strut. also say i crank the coilsover to 3" and have it on the 2nd or 3rd perch will it give me the lift form both added together? or is that going to stress the axles to much and over extend the strut.

do they make a adjustable bilstein that is a alittle longer so you can adjust to a higher perch and still use the 3.5" max from coilover??

im new to all this i know this stuff is explained over and over on here but if never seen to much on my extact issue

i know too i can jus get smaller lc coils and that would really be the easiest way to get rid of the rake. but i like the height in the rear i put 500 lbs( two friends) and it still had a prolly 1.5" of rake lol

How far apart are the perches? I think you should move it one position up or maybe 2 and adjust your coilovers. There is no reason for your coilvers to be maxed out like that. Once you get it to the area of where you want it, it might take a little bit of adjusting here and there.

If it were me I would put it on the 2nd notch and adjust the thread down 1-1.5".

Send that picture to toytec and see what they say. lol. I'm willing to bet they will suggest you adjust it down or your shock will blow.

Can you post a picture of the rear suspension setup? It shouldn't be that high... even with a 3" body lift.

I cant post any pics right now my girlfriend took her computer to school and my phone wont let me for some reason.
I have the 8.75/8.25 wrap lx450 coils with 5125 billies I bought the coils from a member here(tbst ). He said they were from a junk yard and had 120k on them.
its either the rear is way to high or the front is not high enough or both. The bottom of the bumper is about 32" off the ground. if I could find out how much lift the rear got from the lx coils it would help but my tire stick out to far which makes getting a hub to fender measurement really hard. I guess what I gotta do is adjust the strut and go from there I don't want to blow my shock. I see other people on here with only 3" up front and a smaller body lift and it looks like they clear the 35's way easier like Steeze and ark. With the coilovers cranked as much as I have them Plus 3" bl it feels like it should be higher. The CVS don't even look that stressed.

I mean with all my research I thought I'd be around 6" in front and 7 " in the rear I.e. coil overs cranked to three plus the bl and the 3" or 4" from the Lx450's +bl. But with the coil overs cranked to max and then some that would be 4" plus 3" bl give or take. If the rake is 3" then the rear came up 7" from the coils alone. I def f****d up my research lol.

I think youll find when you measure with the stock tires back on that youre getting 5" or more of lift with the 8 wraps. With your body lift youre way up there! I say this because I previously had 7 wraps (technically I think they were 7.5 and 7.75 wraps) and they lifted me around 4.5", AFTER running a bunch of weight in the back for several months to get them to settle, and without the cone bump stops in the back which add another 1/4".

Whats the measurement from the center of the wheel hub up to the fender on both the front and back?

sorry took so long finally got the stocks on temporarilly. and the measurments from hub to fender are front is 26 1/8" and the rear is 29 1/2"
so that means minus the 3" body lift i got 3 1/8 in front and 6 1/2 in the back. i thought the CO's give 3.5 and maxed like i have it i thought they would give 4". geuss i was wrong.

That's pretty tall man. I've got 35's and 861's out back and I'm 24" front and almost 27" rear hub to fender. I too would like a tab more front lift but the cv's just can't take it. I may look into a body lift as well, but not 3". Too much gap. What's your goal? Tall as possible?

well my goal was to have 4 inches of lift in front and 5 inches in back ( all suspension) the 3" body was already installed when i bought it. at frist my plan was to take the bl off when i got the suspension installed. but then all these runners on here with 35's made me just keep it on. theres a couple of people on here with 4 inches up front with the same coil overs i have. but ive got mine cranked about 3/4 to a 1" from being cranked all the way only yeilding 3 1/8"

im really just trying to get 4" up front. i can put weight in the back to bring it down thats not a big deal. i have my 35's on rims in there now and it brings it down a full inch to about what i want. however the front was not what i exspected. pretty soon im going to move the c clamp up a couple of notches and then jus crank down the co's a lot. hope fully that will give me the 4".
or maybe just trade the rear coils that are lifting me 6.5 with someone who has some coils that only like 5". right now the ride is nice jus to much rake.

probably going to do that. know anyone looking for 6" rear lx450s.
although i kinda want to jus weigh the back down and save for a solid axle up front then those lx's would be prefect.
might have some camburgs and some toytec co's for sale in the future. also a front diff w/ 5.29 gearing
