Poisonous phosgene gas produced from heating chlorinated solvents
If you perform any of the following tasks, then you may be at risk of exposure to phosgene gas:
Cleaning with chlorinated solvents in areas that contain hot surfaces like heating pipes.
Welding on a surface with residual chlorinated solvent
Heating paint remover.
Degreasing operations.
