Spare carrier question

My spare carrier wasn't lowering properly, and my mechanic had to cut the wire to get my old spare off. Trying to replace as cost-effectively as I can. The winch mechanism still works and I have enough wire that it looks like I only need to replace the base that actually holds the spare.

Here's an image from CheapToyotaParts that lists 2 parts: Spare carrier (1) and spare carrier base (2). I'd prefer not to have to buy an entire new spare carrier, but I can't figure out what the little square 'spare carrier base (2)' part is and how it fits with the whole system.

BTW, I have the Tundra brake upgrade and have a T4R '5-Star' wheel with my spare mounted on it, so I realize I may already have to modify part of the system to accommodate the different wheel shape.

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

If you need one sooner search the T4R Items classifieds for it, there are plenty of vehicle part outs and I recall a member selling one not too long ago. I'm sure you can work out a deal.
