Spare tire question

So i was planning to clean up/undercoat my truck today or at least put a dent into that job. But I don't have the factory jack or spare tire winch tool.

So does anyone have any clue how to get the spare out of the way so that I could get to this?
Or at least snap a pic of the your tool so that I might be able to find a way to get the tire out of the way?

A long 3/8" extension will engage the tire winch. 18" long for sure, 12" is right on the cusp.

Cool. How long was your extension? I've always wondered if 12" works--I only have an 18", 9" and 6".
