SPC uca knowledge needed

Can someone please explain why they weld the lower cams after spc uca installation? Is it to keep alignment shops from adjusting below once you have had it adjusted forward for wheel clearance? Just trying to get these monkeys to read the damn spec. Sheet is a pita. :frusty:Once I get this done right, I'd like to make it easy enough for the chimp to do an alignment. I know, if you just read the damn sheet. It should be straight forward, but apparently asking a "tech"/monkey to please read 5 min. Worth of data makes me a dick.
Sorry about the rant. As you may see I'm ready to hang someone by the yard arm
So... why weld the tabs?

I've only heard of welding tabs if you have cam bolt slippage.

As above, they are to assist in alignment, not replace the factory alignment methods.

I have heard of welding the tabs to strengthen them (stop them folding out) but this should not affect the factory adjustment at all.
