Speaker Size Question for a 2015

ETA: I found some more data, looks like the 6x8 will work with mods, 6.5 may be a better fit...

Any comments will be appreciated though.

Before I trade in my F150 for a 4RNR I am going to take my stereo system out include my Infinity Reference speakers. I will have four 6x8 speakers to go into the new Toyota.

I did a search, found a lot of info on the 6.5, but if the 6x8 is no where close, I will set them aside for my Bronco upgrade later.

I know the speakers will require some modification, but does anyone know if the 6x8 speakers will fit easily or am I wasting my time.

Every time I call Crutchfield, they cannot give me a positive answer on what speakers fit the 4Runner.

The fronts are a variation of a 6x9. You will need to make some type of adapter plate to fit pretty much any aftermarket speaker.
The rears are 6.5's. You might be able to fit 6x8's but will be more modifications than the front.
