speaker/ storage box idea

so im tired of having a cluttered cargo area. ive seen some speaker box ideas but nothing to do with storage that doesnt take up the whole cargo area. i have a 16x16x16inch sub woofer box, tool box, extra oil, coolant, and water (just in case) plus some other random items that is always good to have. this is my idea for some more storage that isnt so fragile (all my panels have cracks in them fore some reason)
the big circle would be my 12 sub that would tuck between the bars on the role bar, the little circle is a regular speaker(might end up being a 6x9) and then there is the little access door to the storage area. im going to make it out of ply wood and cover it in carpet that will match closely to my rear seats. this will also take the place if the rear seat latch, hopefully be alot more sturdy. the other side will be pretty much the same but instead of the sub i will have my amp mounted there. i might make some top access some how.

its been done, lots of people like this style. me for one i dont like it it takes up room.

has it?! well i know how to use google but i couldnt find anything like it. i would love if you could find some pictures. and it does take up room but all my **** takes up more room than these would. plus everything wont go flying around if i role over

Sharing volume with sub/ speakers is a terrible idea.it will sound like sh1t because everything will resonate inside of the box.I`d buy truck tool box and build sub box. Don`t try to invent a wheel, it has been done already

I went with behind the seat for storage and I am thinking about adding some speakers to the top. I don't know that it would work for a sub though.

hey thank you but i was looking for more 1st gens, with the role bar along with it and such. that is pretty cool though

its the same idea just have to work around the roll bar or incorporate it.

Bought a set of fronts off Ebay from TOYOTAFOOLISH. Added a new hole to the mounting tab, installed the left onto the right side and the right onto the left so they would mount flush and lifted the vehicle to check the inertia reels. Works great for the kids.
