Forgive my ignorance, but what are speed dials?
we're referring to "Speed Dials" saved onto the factory Nav unit's phone interface. after transferring your contacts via BT, you can set up ~18 speed dials that can be accessed on the touchscreen even while the truck is in motion.

for some reason, the Nav keeps deleting these "presets"...

EXACTLY!!

My office is a near a Raytheon facility so I thought maybe it was a DOD thing, but after avoiding the office for a few days, the problem persists. If anyone knows of a solution, please let me know.

Who'd a thunk. I didn't even know my nav had that capability. Guess I need to read the manual....again.

Big Red, we have got to meet for lunch one day so I can show you what all your truck can do. You would really be surprised. Let me know when you are available.
:hungry:

Had similar experience. In addition, entire contact list would gray out even at a stop. Dealer said my iphone was the problem. Had them try other phones and same issue. Finally agreed to replace the entire unit. That's another story. Took 6 months, 4 appointments and one service consultant getting fired before they got it replaced. Now it works fine.

Yes we do. I'll PM you soon when work slows down to a point where I can get out of the building long enough to eat lunch.

Anyone else had this problem and determined a fix? Other than dealing with the dealership....

I've not seen this issue again since I upgraded to iPhone 5. I saw it happen a few times on my iPhone 3gs. I'm not really sure what root cause was, I was never able to pinpoint exactly what caused the issue.

mine keeps doing it incessantly. seems like every time i break down and re-program the speed dials it's a random number of days or weeks before they're suddenly deleted again.

i've been meaning to roll back my Nav DVD, unpair the phone and music player, and start all over again to see if that works.

I have the same issue! So muh that now I don't even bother putting them back there, and use my cell phone while driving for dialing (speed dials reason is to let you dial without stopping or using your phone...). Really annoying

I got the upgrade NAV DVD and now that I think about it, that was when this started happening. I need to dig into that, as the new version ($150) didnt really do anything for me anyway. Good call.

so, i rolled back my Nav DVD to v 9.1 today and re-paired my iPhone 5 (phone only; not as a BT music player). i re-entered a couple Speed Dials to see what happens. gonna give it a little time to see what happens. don't hesitate to nudge me if i don't update here.

I updated to the newest GPS dvd back in December and didnt notice the speed dial dump until about a month ago. Iphone 5. It not only dumps the speed dials but the contact list too.
