have any of you guys got a speeding ticket by mail. you know, from those traffic camera. well, i got one mailed to me couple days ago. the fine is $157 for going 60 in a 45 mile zone. see this sucks, i could use this money to upgrade my memory in my computer or for other things. i hate paying for something that you don't remember doing. but the letter has my photo on it and my license plate #. so i was just wondering if any of you guys was in the same situation. is there anyway out of this without paying the fines. can i go to one of those classes, kind of like the defensive driving class or whatever you call that. but anyway for those people in phoenix, specially in scottsdale area watch out for the cameras. it happen in scottsdale rd and frank lloyd wright. oh yeah one more thing is there a website where you can check out for traffic camera listing in your own city.

You can't get out of paying the money. That's probably the primary reason why the thing was installed (safety second). Attending traffic school will help with your insurance by not letting your insurance company know about the ticket. But traffic school will cost you a bit more.

BTW, you should verify whether it's legal to go without a front license plate in your state. If it's illegal, there's another ticket waiting for you....

Take the class, you can even take it online. It's 4 hours of your life you will never get back but at least your insurance won't go up. Darn you guys with 4runners that go fast enough to get tickets ;-). Good luck

is the picture of you clear enough to identify you? if not, there's one way to get out of it. swear that you weren't driving the truck at the time, then when they ask who was driving say the 4th admendment protects you and you can't tell them. you'll need to go to court and it's a pain in the ass but i know one guy who did it and won.

In most cases, (at least in Colorado) if you show up for court, they may plea bargain down the points if you have a clean driving record. Sometimes the fine is reduced, other times you may get reduced points, but still have to pay the fine...

Not sure about website for just photo cams, but you might post the location of yours at the speedtrap registry:

To avoid tickets by photocam, Slow down, or get some photo blocker spray... looks clear.... but the bright flash of the photocams make the plate unreadable... Local fox station in denver tested it, and it works.
