Speedometer re-calibration help

So I've searched and searched and I can't find any threads on the install. I found a ton for the Dakota Digital, which I tried to use for my Superlift Tru speed calibrator. No dice. I've tried these threads below and I don't either have the color wire described, I can't find the signal output from the transfer case, or the gauges on my rig go completely out and stop reading. I have a '99 4runner automatic. If someone has installed one or has pictures please help me. At this point I've hacked my wiring harness and could use a hand.

Your issue is that there is no VSS on the transfer case on 4runner. There is on tacomas. Basically its a huge difference between the two vehicles. 4runners get their speed from the 4 wheel speed sensors located at each wheel. These all feed the abs system and in turn it feeds the speedo.

On tacomas they have a vss on the transfer case that gets a speed signal and sends it to the abs system. You can swap a vss into a 4runner but its not perfect. I believe you need to pull out the abs module and completely delete it or else you will end up with error codes. search pirate4x4 and ttora and you may find one of the threads.

THe nice thing is on 4runners the way it gets speeds will not be affected by changes in gearing, Only changes in tire size.

All in all i doubt its worth the hassle to fix a 5mph-10mph difference at highway speeds.
