You're welcome, man. You definitely have to make the most of it when you get a chance to wheel your rig. It seems like life just gets busier and busier as you get older (I'm 34), so when you hit it you have to hit it hard.

Thanks for the review on the rod holder. Rods and car doors don't mix well. I've had that same one on my Amazon wish list for months (that's the one by Berkley, right? > Link), trying to think of a way to mount it. I never thought about the roof rack, so maybe that will work for me, too.

you got that right, I'm 22, have my career started and just signed a contract on my first home, planning on getting married and all that good stuff within the next year. life is for sure busy. I'm sure in a year or two ill be right where i want to be and the 4runner can get a little more attention.

yup thats the one, all i did was zip tie it to the roof rack could be a little cleaner but hey it works, and its really not difficult to reach it either, pretty easy access.

Rocked no doors for a little while. Have a set of doors that I'm going to build some half doors eventually.

Also got around to mounting my hi lift and shovel to the roof rack with some quick fist. Then mounted my 10" light bar on the bumper. May be a little over kill but it's on.

Went to Home Depot and got different size conduit hangers depending on what part of the rack I was mounting to. Not my photo but where I got my idea.

Found a local guy trying to start a offroad fabrication business. Got him to do some sliders for me. Got a few coats of primer on them and painting this weekend. 220 for fab install and paint not bad. Here's some night pics with primer I'll post finished shot later

I told him id tell others about him. So if anyone is interested in some sliders let me know I can see if he wants to do a batch or something

Got a little yard work done. Using the winch to pull up shrubs and a fallen tree near the house. Also added a emblem to my grill and gave it a much needed bath.

Found a deal I couldn't pass up on new light bar mounts.

Installed some rock lights this week. Cheap eBay kit works pretty well.

just used zip ties to mount them to the fender liner on front wells and on rear i drilled two holes and ran a zip tie through them and around the led strip to mount. it was fairly simple. let me know if you want pics of how i did it

Question though is: is it bright enough? And waterproof rating? I see no IP anything..

yea they are water proof. and they are for sure bright enough. only color thats kinda dull is red, but for wheeling i doubt red would be a choice when you have white. i am really pleased with the quality, especially for 30 bucks.

it could but not worried to much about it.

Upgraded to a 35" tire. Scrubs only when turning really sharp. Haven't trimmed at all. Should be trimming this weekend. Also got a new full length roof rack fabbed up. Along with the gobi rear ladder!

Yea man I'm happy with them. Really didn't want 20s but I really wanted this wheel and I found a deal on Craigslist so I jumped on it. If you do 20s they really need 35"s. The 33"s I had on before looked way to small on that big of a wheel. But yea man I'm loving them so far

Ahh ok, yea that happens. I want to run the Fuel Mavericks as well but the black/milled version of them. I do plan on running 35s if i get the 20s for sure. I'm hoping it looks pretty good if I go with 20's. I was originally considering 18s.
