Spidertrax Spacer issue??

The guys running or have ran Spidertrax spacers. Have you noticed that the front lugs don't get much engagement? The Toyota studs that are on the front are shorter than the ones on the rear.

My question is has anyone had issues/problems with the spacers? Considering the lug aren't fully seated.

I run Spidertrax and I don't have any issues. The front studs are shorter, but there is still full thread engagement. I seem to remember reading Spidertrax changed the nuts they supply at some point, which allowed better engagement for the shorter front studs. Do your front studs protrude all the way through the nuts?

I ran ST on my '07 and my '14 for short periods of time. I had a helluva shake on the '07 running the ST, so I ditched them. I would probably have chalked that one up to user install error. Was the shake due to your question?... don't know. Ran them on my '14 for about 6 months; had very little issue. Very minor shimmy around 60-65 sometimes.... and I mean very minor. But really wanted new wheels anyhow, so that's where I ended up. Again, was it due to minimal thread engagement? I can't say for sure. I do know what your talking about tho, I remember having that same thought when installing on the '07. I had a shop install on the '14, so I didn't notice then.

I've been running mines to kick out the stockies for a little bit over a year with the wife daily driving on them and the occasional firebreak trail runs on the weekends without a problem. It comes with red locktite or at least mines did BNIB. Just make sure to recheck the spacer lug nut torque after 50 miles after installation. The retorque check is I believe 75ft lbs per spidertrax. If the lug nuts move while retorqing then gotta redo the locktite again. I check mines every rotation haven't had a lug nut back out off the oem lug studs yet or move under retorqing.

Relatively easy fix albiet $$ rears are longer & can be purchased or motorsporttech sells by length ! Zero problems with mine on both 4r although as mybabydaddy said minor @ shake at that same speed !

Well worked on it today to see why no one else is noticing this?
What I found is that I was using the G2 lugs that are larger than the Spidertrax ones. The front studs are .75" and the rear are 1.00". Why they make them this way I'm not sure?

Any way went on a test drive and found that the tires rub badly with the spacers.
So did a bit more trimming of plastic, and bent the pinch welds back to give more clearance. Still rubs a bit on the body mounts in reverse at full lock. (I guess I didn't cut them back far enough on the drivers side)

If it bothers me in the future I'll do something about it. But for now I can live with it. (Adding lift isn't an option.)

My suspension is about as high as I care to go. (Don't wanna be changing CV boots every year.)

Ended up installing the Spidertrax lugs and they look O.K. so I'll live with that also. (Maybe I'll buy longer lugs down the road?

Thanks for all the replies!
Have a Great Day!
