so im driving down the free way and this guy merges in front of me.... im going like 63 maybe 64 with the cruise. and he gets all pissed off cause im gaining on him like i might hit him if he remains constant speed for a 10th of a mile so he gives me the bird and brakes. . . i have some pretty bright bulbs already so i lit his car up. he didnt like that and did his routine again. so i pass him and he follows me all close so i slowed down to 60 and he goes around giving me the bird again with his window down. i just let him pass then kinda helped him see the road again with my brights. lol i think im going to invest in some spotters soon. that little punk makeing me slow down and loose my momentum while hes driving a car that when accelerating i couldnt even keep up.
road rage at its finest. i was having a good ol time tho :P why do people get so mad on the roads these days?

(i think its cause im in utah)

i was reading your post and it made me think when i almost got run off the road but some trucker, and just so happens i was on i-15 going north (i was in UTAH too)

he cuts me off, then i pass him like he is sitting still and then i look in my rear view mirror and there is a bright red truck with a guy driving giving me the birdy in his window, (it was him!)

so i punch it to get away from him...(again), im driving my dads 03 limited V8(it has power!) but this trucker stays right with me!

i was scared he was guna try something! and he follows me for atleast an hour. and both of us are flying, 90-100 MPH, i really didnt know semis could fly like that

im tellin ya its utah. i spent the summer in texas, nice people down there, very polite. but 3 kids got there cars almost totaled one totaled that summer and they blamed it on the texas drivers. but yeah i went around him and was doing about 85, and then slowed to 75 and he was right behind me. another time this guy freaked out cause we looked at his beamer, he was swerving at my runner trying to "scare" me. he was in a bmw! haha that was a very funny time also. haha

where is linden? did i spell that correct?

my sister goes to provo for school and we have a place in brianhead....

btw i was going to manti when that crazy trucker attacked me

its Lindon. just like it says under my aviator thing i cant spell either gotta love spell check. its about 10 miles north of provo, and provos about where this guy was givein the bird out left and right.

I love the mountains i love the snow...

not so much love for the rude people.
its a shame.

lol thats funny, yeah i saw it under there just forgot how to spell it when i went to post it... gotta love non mormons!

BTW! did u hear a new temple here in my home town! KANSAS CITY!

i didnt hear about that one, i was sleeping in conference if thats when it was announced haha. but i know were getting one here in like draper or something, one more to the plenty already here. i was clickin in my mind there for a minute, Missouri ... has sister going to school in provo, most likely byu its kinda a big school. and then having place in bryan head. i wonder mormon 4runner owners are on the board haha. wow we got off topic ;)

what is that a bird chirping? did you hear it also???

what do u mean off topic! ha ha ha, yep here in missouri...

welp, im going to bed, gotta wake the little one up for seminary tomorrow

seminary? haha. and early?? never heard of that before... when in washington, we had seminary release time, so it was during school hours you just walked across the street, here in utah i finished my years out, graduated seminary but not high school .... i dont even think thats aloud. oh well haha.

night bud.

yeah only about 5 from the highschool here (of 1600) go to seminary, and since school won't stop for them they do it at 6 in the morning, so that means I have to wake a softomore up around 5:20, he is not a morning person!

If i were you, i'd show him my gun and see how fast he could drive. :D

Re: Re: spotters?

Definitely get some more lights, you'll love them. I run with an IPF setup. A 130W spot light for distance and a 130W driving light for close up and around. Plus with 55/100W headlight bulbs, its safe to say that I have no trouble seeing at night, and other drivers get the message too.

I assume the smilie means your not serious there, cause if a wanna-be tough guy ever pulls a gun on me for a minor thing like this, I guarantee I will run him off the road right then and there. Guns are for self defense only in a deadly situation.

I have lived in Utah for about 9 years now and have not seen such bad driving in all of the places I have lived. Beautiful country, awesome skiing, outdoors activities. Horrible drivers. Half of these people would get shot in LA. Ut-ards. :p

I also agree not even joking about the whole gun thing. I love guns and respect guns very much. They carry with it tremendous amount of responsibility. More so with hand guns, which is why I have not bought one yet. I'd rather have my 12 ga. for my home defense anyway. The sound of a shotgun pump through a dark, quiet house is probably the last thing an intruder wants to hear.

Not trying to call you out, but if someone pulled a gun on you, I'm thinking you'd do what 99% of of us would do, which is flee from the situation. I don't think it's a cowardly thing to do, but the most sensible. Trying to run somebody off the road is dangerous enough, but to have bullets flying at you at the same time? :awais: I don't speak for you, but I would definitely not want to be known as the guy who got shot/killed by a random psychotic guy suffering from road rage.

This is the most common stupid road rage move out there. A guy recently died in a high profile crash in Ontario because someone did this in the early morning, after jockeying for position on the on-ramp going to work. The guy in front stopped short after cutting in, then sped away. The guy behind lost control while swerving to avoid rather than rear ending him. He died. Who's to blame: both drivers, kind of. It takes 2 to tangle. Absolutely senseless to engage the other guy, birds, brights, guns, whatever. Just back off, give him distance and stay or get away from him. You don't want to end up a victim, which can happen in a heartbeat at 60 mph.

I hear what you're saying p nut, and you're probably right. But if someone flashes their gun at me then I'm going to assume the worst case scenario for my own safety and I'm going to take action. Fight or flight.... I don't know, but on the road my vehicle is the only weapon I have for defense.
Flashing firearms around is pathetic and belongs in John Wayne movies only.

Guess I took this thread off topic a little... sorry DewRunner

Here in Pittsburgh I find that motorists are generally very courteous and patient around the city and suburbs, but get them on the highway and its like some kind of bloodsport just started.

well i used to have some nice headlights when i bought my truck one burnt out so i tried to get one close to it, which was a silverstar but it doesnt compare to my 80/100w driverside bulb. i dont even know where the guy i bought the runner from got 80/100w but they were really nice together having two the same. but now it looks like my trucks winking with a blue eye ;):

and its okay to get off topic who really cares
anyone perfer bumper mount or either roof/rack mount more?

my brother-in-law did this out the sunroof to a trucker. he followed him to a truck stop and asked are you the one who threw that cantolope at me??? and he said no! then started turning away to run and yelled it was a honey dew!!! haha. he got away :) happy ending. thats a long throw to the back id only attempt with a half shake haha

I know as a biker I always carry ball baring in my pocket for when people follow too close. I try to tell them to back off and most do, but sometimes you get the jerks who get closer. All I do is put some in my hand and release one at a time when I throttle down.
