Spray on bedliner lower half side of truck?

Thanks for all the ideas and pictures. On the Plastidip, how do you take it off if you don't like it? I'm having doubts about the bedliner as far as keeping it looking clean. Otherwise to fix the problem I'm looking at a new paint job. Big $$$$ which I'd like to keep now that I've just shelled it out on the bumpers.

Plasidip peels right off. Just start rubbing it and it will slowly start to come.off.

I also HATE flat black vehicles so maybe thats why i dont like it. It looks like flat black paint. I have seen some jeeps around here that have been all or partially rhino lined and it looks hideous to me. I have never seen a 4runner with this stuff in person. so who knows

I think if you do the flares/bumpers/side cladding it would look pretty cool. That's what I would do if i ever decide on doing it. And it would all be a level line along the lower portion

It looks better if you spray behind the bedliner with a glossy black paint.

Done. Duplicolor bedliner spray up to door panel indention. Matches bumpers in color and on the same line. Glad I did it. At work now. Pictures to come this afternoon.

I had planned to do this on mine up to the tops of the fenderflares/door cladding, in silver. Front and rear bumpers as well. Didn't get to that point.

I actually like it on your truck, probably since your truck is black. It goes well with the bumpers. Should offer protection as well. On non-black vehicles I prefer when the bedliner is color matched.

Good news and bad news. Good news is that it looks good. Bad news is that Duplicolor will peel right off unless you sanded or roughed up the surface first. See my build thread for details. It peeled off the first time I washed it. I had to re-do with Herculiner. I liked the Duplicolor texture better though.

I used the Rustoleum spray on bed-liner over a year ago and it still looks fresh. Its on my bumpers and Limited flares and doors.

Great! I'm looking at doing my bumpers, flares, and cladding. How many cans did you use?

I want to say three or four cans. I got them at Lowes IIRC.

Make sure to tape up everything else as the over spray is pretty potent. I thought I did a pretty good job but I had some spots where it got through.
