Spring project thoughts.

Well with 162k on the clock, I’ve got a (driver) front wheel bearing at the beginning of the end. I’m hoping to make it to spring. If I’m going to tear it down, I’m looking at doing the following and I eel your input:

Wheel bearings
Spindles (I had to bore and tap after shearing off a caliper bolt on each side)
Calipers (because when doing the work in the driveway, of course I ended up having to “tune” the calipers to fit the corrected spindles

Both sides will be done.

Should I do spindle gussets? If so, which ones?

Anything else?

It sees Wisconsin winters but rarely real off road. That said I want to.

If you’re not familiar, you should consider driving in the salt belt like desert racing. Lots of holes and washboards at highway speeds. So desert racing with the added bonus of salt driven corrosion.
