Spring question

I have a 85 4runner and my front springs have been sagging for a while and I have been wanting to do something about it. I just came across a CL ad selling rear springs from a 85 Chinook camper for $80.

(2) Leaf springs: (6 Leafs per Spring)....(surface rust, but excellent condition)

Leaf Spring Measurements:
Center of eye-loop to eye-loop (overall length).....,45 1/4 inches.
Front-Center of eye-loop to middle of center stud......21 inches.
Rear-Center of eye-loop to middle of center stud.......26 inches.

Does moving my rear springs to the front and using these in the rear make any sense?

Thanks!

Have you measured your front springs to compare them to the rear measurements?

If you have you know that the front springs have the center bolt midway, not offset like the rears. So if you put rear springs up front, that offset is going to move the entire axle forward.
So then you need major surgery on your steering system to make it all work. Plus relocating the shocks, and lengthening the front driveshaft a bit.

Make sense?
