I removed the two 10mm nuts to lift up the pedal to get a better grip on the connector. You probably don't need to do this, but it makes it easier. I had the tools so I just did it.

Snaking the wire around without taking the dash apart took a little time as I didn't want the wire in the way of my big feet.

I settled on cutting a groove on one switch panel for the wire and attaching the controller to the switch panel just above it with a 3/4 inch velcro dot pair. 1/2 inch dot might fit better, but that's what I had on hand.

I felt it would be the easiest way to install it without a lot of bending strain on the wire. (I could be mistaken about that.)

Had to grind a small channel in the dash above the switch panel too because it pinched when you press the panel back in. I should have gone deeper into the switch panel with the notch. The wire actually hides the channel so it's good until I rewire everything someday.

All easily done with a Dremel tool. I'm sloppy so I got a few nicks here and there. Luckily nicks don't bother me too much. Go slow and try to minimize that kind of thing.

Fired it up and all worked well. Race 5 (default) is sweet. Sport 5 (default) didn't do much for me, so I punched it up to Sport 9 for starters.

Gave it a test drive around town and on the highway. Race 5 downshifts quick but I suppose that's what you'd want it to do.

Anyway, that's my initial report. I'll play with it for awhile and see how it rounds out.

Nice mod! I did something similar, except I just mounted the SB directly onto the bottom tab (where you ran your power wire) from the bottom of the tab. This way it covers up the hole you put in the tab and looks clean. Shout out to Jason as well, super friendly and very helpful!

So it's been about 2weeks since I ordered from Jason but it was not Jason's fault at all. Turns out UPS had a screw up and lost the package and despite having called and reached out to UPS, there were limited communications to me and as it turned out to Jason the shipper as well. I decided to reach out to Jason on Monday and he was surprised to find out that UPS has not delivered the item or informed him that it had been lost. Fast forward to today, I got a notice that UPS will deliver a package to me tomorrow. Just wanted to say thanks to Jason again despite all the confusion with the first order that resulted from UPS and being so responsive when I had questions. Thanks again~
 
I installed this in about 5 minutes. I ran the wiring up behind the lower dash trim and stuck the control right on the lower left side of my steering column right at the base where the gap is. I didn't really need to hide any wires. First I tried sport 5 and it was just barely noticeable. So I moved it up to Sport 9. This was really nice. This seems right where I think it should be from the factory. This seems to help with me losing speed in overdrive when I'm cruising around 50mph. I don't need to mash the peddle to keep speed. I'm sure I'll play with the race settings in the near future. I don't see how this could possible help with gas mileage because my 4Runner is much more fun to dive. I'm happy so far. I'll update in a few weeks. I wrote this from my phone so forgive and mistakes please.
 
A nice little upgrade...

While I bought my Sprint Booster from another supplier, I am very happy with the sprint booster so far.

I installed it just before our recent trip to Death Valley.

Was a little concerned about how it would work off-road.

This proved to not be an issue at all.

So far, I would give the sprint booster a very positive review.

It really wakes up the throttle response, giving the 4runner a whole different feel compared to the lethargic stock pedal mapping.

I am also getting a little better MPG as well...

Glad to get you fixed up. Once in a while UPS messes up and behind the scenes and I yelled at them a bit which got this fixed faster :) Can't wait for you to get it and hear your thoughts. Happy to help you out.

Awesome, nice review. Yea, your first tank of gas will be less, lol, since you'll be flooring it around every corner to test it out the new found power and playing with it. After a few tanks of gas and when you're used to it, you may notice your getting better mileage on a trip/highway as there will be less shifting with the tranny since the rpm's won't spike as high like before when you had to mash the throttle and make it jump back a gear - which would make the truck run at higher rpms. Thanks again for giving feedback!

Ordered about a month ago from Jason. Exchanged a few texts about it as well as a single side exit Gibson. Personable dude and great customer service. Just got around to installing the booster yesterday. Night and day difference. Sport 9 is my setting.
 
Ordered mine yesterday! Actually ordered two. I'm taking my supercharged 4Runner to the drag strip to race my non-supercharged friend next week...thought it was only fair that we both had these installed ;)

Be interesting to see track slips with and without the booster. would clear up a lot of non believers !
