To clarify, it works even when cruise control is controlling the throttle and your foot is not on the gas pedal?

Quick question. If, when I am out of gear, I hold the throttle at 2000 rpm, for example, it doesnt stay steady and goes up and down a 100rpm +-, Is this due to the booster?

Do you guys think it’s safe to install the sprint booster on a new runnner? I have 100 miles on the vehicle. Should I wait to break in the engine before installing?

Hello all,

Just a little heads up on the SB and Burtman Ind.

I did as much research as I could on these (being my 4th 4.0L) and finally pulled the trigger from Burtman.

His price, ship speed and 5 year warranty made it the best place by far.

He actually called me today and went over the order and and install etc and asked me to call him after a few weeks to give my input on it. Pretty much unheard of CS if you ask me.

i will update this with me experience with the SB ( I know there are a couple threads out there but I think this is the new firmware so i feel its relevant).

In any case, good guy, good price and business, I recommend you give him a try when its time to buy some "stuff"

We've had the Sprintbooster on our '17 4Runner for a couple years now and couldn't be happier! It's been absolutely trouble free and the improved throttle response is something we can't live without now.
We're so happy with it, one is going in our FJ Cruiser very soon!

Glad you like it and yep 100% safe. I now sell these to quite a few Toyota dealers and they've installed on brand new trucks. My one dealer has lost sales in the past with how bad the delay is on this trucks. Case in point, the one dealer had a customer test driving a brand new limited and he pulled out to make a left turn out the dealership and floored it (a car was coming and he thought he had plenty of room and floored it to test out the acceleration. Well, he almost go read ended and didn't expect the horrible delay these trucks have. This is another reason they love them. And won't void any warranties.

I love the sprint booster! Having driven it for 4000 miles or so, both at altitude (11,000 feet) and at sea level. This absolutely gets rid of the notorious pedal lag that I suffered from when drove my new truck home. When I step on the gas, my truck GOES, the way it should. This is well worth the money, and I can’t imagine not having this. You won’t be disappointed!
