ive got the old model, it has 1 red setting, 1 green, 1 regular, does this newer model have more for each mode?

In my case, I didn't realize how lazy the pedal was on my '07 until the Sprint Booster was installed. Just figured it was normal SUV behavior for a vehicle this large, whereas my wife's smaller Mercury Mariner 3.0L V6 with cable-driven throttle was much more responsive.

Last week while at Assateague on the over-sand area, I disabled the Sprint Booster and left it that way after we came off and reinflated the tires. Had to pull over after a few miles and set it back to Green 5, the lazy throttle was just awful.

Remember, you don't have to mount anything if you don't want to! You can pre set it where you want, then remove the cord, like an aux cable and keep in your glovebox in case you ever want to change it down the road. Many do this, that don't want to mount the switch. It remembers the setting for life.

Thank jeebus I didn't know about this when I drove a Camry. Throttle response lag was unsafe in my opinion so I ditched it and ultimately got a 4runner. There's nowhere near the lag on my V8 as what I had in the Camry. I wonder...

I'm sure it would decreased mpg. There seems to be an inverse relationship between "fun to mash" rating and fuel economy. As one goes up the other goes down.

Good, good. Just got one for my uncle, 2007 4Runner now he loves me a little more he said, lol.

It just blows my mind how Toyota can send these trucks out like this, and same with 2010 - 2018 4Runner, those guys have same issue.

Stated with green 5 tried 9 then switched to red 9
That’s pretty much where it will stay
One install tip, I used a skinny dowl to feed controller wire
I’ll give the system a 5stars

I'm using Green 5...started on 4 as suggested by other members, but 5 is where I like it best...Red anything almost feels like the engine wants to go before the transmission can respond...that's just my opinion, but that's what it feels like...it might be different on updated/newer 4runners...
