No, doesn’t affect it at all, unless it makes you drive more aggressively than normal since the car feels peppier than before. Even if it did drop mileage (which it doesn’t), I feel it’s worth it just for the improvement in driving feel alone.

I decided to leave my controller connected so I could tweek it if needed, or disable it for a different driver if necessary, but I didn’t want to mount it either. My solution was to run it up through the area where the fuse block is. It is nicely contained in there and hidden by the cover, but it very easy to access quickly if needed. I originally did this as a temp setup because I didn’t want it flopping around while I tested it, but soon realized it was a great place to store it permanently, since I prefer the cleaner look of not having it show. As an aside, you can also slide it through the opening in the fuse cover where the grab handle is, and leave it sticking out so you can make adjustments. I did this for a week or 2 while experimenting with different settings. Once I found the sweet spot I tucked back through the hole and it’s been there ever since.

Terminator is correct. Now, I just had a customer tell me he's getting better mileage after he installed this. He told me the delay on his truck would make him hit the throttle much more before he installed, sometimes jerking the truck and wheels, due to the factory delay. I guess, maybe, this extra upmh or jerk from the factory delay could maybe be the reason why he's getting better mileage, as now he doesn't have to hit the gas pedals as much as said it's a much smoother transition with the pedal and how the truck reacts to it.
I'm not going to say it's going to help mileage, maybe if you just can't get used to the factory setup, possibly, but I will say confidently it's not going to hurt it.

This is good info Jason as I thought my delay was due to the transmission "catching up" to the engine rpm. But, in reality it's the DBW opening the throttle plate a little after the gas pedal has been pushed.

Jason, Do you know the exact mechanism the sprint booster employs? Does it remap the throttle response curve or does it actually change the throttle response time? If it changes the response time, does that remap hold while cruise control computer is controlling the throttle? I don't mind the throttle response when I'm driving manually, but I find the cruise control to be SUPER lazy and sometimes drop 4MPH up a grade and then overrun my target speed by a couple MPH at the peak unless I intervene. If the sprint booster closes the gap between when I start losing speed cruising up a grade and the time the truck responds... you'd have a sale.

I wish I could help you, but I almost never use cruise in any vehicle I own. Definitely haven’t tried it since installing the SB. Now I’m genuinely curious though, so I will test it out today as I have some highway driving to do.

The Sprint Booster removes the delay while using the pedal. Cruise control is controlled by the ECU , therefore it is not possible to change the way it “kicks in” unless you go into the ECU.
And you should still try one. It will make you happier. No joke. If not, I'll let you return it.

Yes it does. It does it's job. What's even crazier is if you drive with it on for a week to two, then turn it off (which then is just factory settings your car came with) you won't believe how you drove that long before without this.

Just put my order in over the phone yesterday, looking forward to trying this device out as the throttle lag on my 06 has been annoying me something vicious i’ll share my thoughts post use
I did install it and I do like it.
Was too sensitive on the factory preset so I turned it down to red 3 I think.
